How do you remove a heater core for a 1984 Grand Marquis?
You have to remove the whole dash, because it is real hard to get to the heater core in the 1984 marquis The previous answer is correct. They started on the assembly line with a heater core then built the car around it. I have had the dash out 4 times on my '84 Grand Marcuis because the entire heater/AC sysyem is so poorly designed. It has heat in the summer and cold in the winter. It is a great car but it should have a removable dash for easy access. Have a 1989 model, purchased from my mechanic. He wouldn't touch it when it needed replacing. Sent me to a specialized shop for vehicle HVAC. Received same advice from another mechanic with 35 yrs experience.
Can 24 inch iroc rims fit a grand marquis?

Where is the crank shaft sensor on a 1983 mercury grand marquis?
On the 302 cu in 5.0L TBI engine as identified by the F as the 5th digit in a 13 digit VIN# or the 8th digit in a 17 digit VIN#, it is located next to the crankshaft pulley on the passenger side next to and above the vacuum pump bracket. First you will need to jack the car up. I placed a 1 1/2 inch thick concrete block under both wheels. You will need to remove the vacuum pump bracket and battery ground cable and wiring harness to make enough room to work. Using a 7/16 angled box wrench, remove the retainer clip on top, not the block the sensor is inside of.
Inserting the new sensor and retainer clip is tricky since it's hard to see the angle they go back in with. Total job took me over 3 hours. You should have better luck now.

I've only done this to a few different cars, not the one in question but it may help. There are typically screws around the outside of the door, and a few hidden inside the door handle. And you'll probably have to remove the window winder if not electric. Without seeing the car itself not much I can help with. But at least it's a start
Take out the few screws, inside the door handle well (inside), lift the control panel for the windows, lock ect. Then lift the panel straight up and remove.

What is the recommended amount of R134 needed to recharge a 2002 Ford Escape air conditioning unit?
The recommended amount is located on an information tag on the underside of the hood (open the hood and look along the front edge of the hood, driver's side, near the battery, for the tag). The recommended amount on my 2002 Ford Escape XLT is 32oz. Which would be approximately: 2 1/2 cans of the r134 refrigerent (without sealer, 12 oz.) ...or... 3cans of the r134 refrigerent (with sealer, 10.5 oz.)Be sure to check your tag... I've also noticed that if the air conditioning unit is blowing hot or warm air at the onset (not cool), it must be fully charged to operate correctly. Adding only 2 cans to an empty unit allows the AC to blow cold for a day or two but it will soon blow hot again. Fully charging the unit (used 3 cans), has corrected this problem for me once and for all. The AC is charged and is staying charged. It has also stopped blowing hot at higher speeds (55 mph+)...which was a problem in the past. Total Cost (K-Mart): $27.00 plus tax. Plus, I have the high-pressure hose and adapter for future use.
Box-Jenkins Approach The Box-Jenkins ARMA model is a combination of the AR and MA models where the terms in the equation have the same meaning as given for the AR and MA model. Comments on Box-Jenkins Model A couple of notes on this model. # The Box-Jenkins model assumes that the time series is stationary. Box and Jenkins recommend differencing non-stationary series one or more times to achieve stationarity. Doing so produces an ARIMA model, with the "I" standing for "Integrated". # Some formulations transform the series by subtracting the mean of the series from each data point. This yields a series with a mean of zero. Whether you need to do this or not is dependent on the software you use to estimate the model. # Box-Jenkins models can be extended to include seasonal autoregressive and seasonal moving average terms. Although this complicates the notation and mathematics of the model, the underlying concepts for seasonal autoregressive and seasonal moving average terms are similar to the non-seasonal autoregressive and moving average terms. # The most general Box-Jenkins model includes difference operators, autoregressive terms, moving average terms, seasonal difference operators, seasonal autoregressive terms, and seasonal moving average terms. As with modeling in general, however, only necessary terms should be included in the model. Those interested in the mathematical details can consult Box, Jenkins and Reisel (1994), Chatfield (1996), or Brockwell and Davis (2002). Stages in Box-Jenkins Modeling There are three primary stages in building a Box-Jenkins time series model. # Model Identification # Model Estimation # Model Validation RemarksThe following remarks regarding Box-Jenkins models should be noted. # Box-Jenkins models are quite flexible due to the inclusion of both autoregressive and moving average terms. # Based on the Wold decomposition thereom (not discussed in the Handbook), a stationary process can be approximated by an ARMA model. In practice, finding that approximation may not be easy. # Chatfield (1996) recommends decomposition methods for series in which the trend and seasonal components are dominant. # Building good ARIMA models generally requires more experience than commonly used statistical methods such as regression. Sufficiently Long Series RequiredTypically, effective fitting of Box-Jenkins models requires at least a moderately long series. Chatfield (1996) recommends at least 50 observations. Many others would recommend at least 100 observations. source: http://www.itl.nist.gov/div898/handbook/pmc/section4/pmc445.htm

How do you reprogram keyless entry keypad for grand marquis gs 04?
You cannot change the master code. You can add a personal code by following the directions in the owner's manual but you will need the Master Code to do so. It's usually on a sticker on one of the Trunk Life Rods. If it's not there, a dealer can retrieve it for you.

How do you repair the amount of fuel indicator on 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis?
The sending unit for the fuel level is located in the fuel tank. Basically to change it you have to drain fuel, remove the tank, then remove & replace the sending unit. You might try www.autozone.com under vehicle repair guides to see if it covers removal of the tank on your specific vehicle. The 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis fuel tank, like many Lincolns of that ilk, is a vertical tank in from of the trunk and behind the axle. The sender/fuel pickup is mounted on the front of the tank and can be accessed easily, with proper clearance for work, from below. You may remove the tank, but that is not easy. Using care and proper tools to prevent sparks, remove sender line, unlock the lock ring tapping gently counter clockwise, remove the sender, and replace with new one, taking care to place it as close to vertical as possible. Replace lock ring. This is the best I can remember. The sender is an approximation anyway and can not read exactly. This will work if the instrument panel needle gauge is working properly. Usually, it is. Oh, and important, no smoking while working on this repair. Chewing and dipping allowed.
