Palikir is the Nation's Capital City located on Pohnpei, the island formerly known as Ponape, which is the most developed island of the Federation. The airport is located on a small island just off the main island of Pohnpei. The population on Pohnpei of around 34,000 is the largest of the states. It is growing in popularity with world surfers who consider the Palikir Pass (aka P-Pass) as one of the best reef pass surfs in the world. The coral reef is also well known by SCUBA enthusiasts and fishermen.

Kosrae is farthest east and incorporates multiple atolls. It is unspoiled and rarely visited. One of its geographical features is a mountain with a shape that has earned the island the name of "The Island of the Sleeping Lady", when viewed from out at sea, it looks like a woman lying down. How to say thank you in Kosraean: "Kulo".

Signs point to 1,500 islands. And most likely true counting all the beautiful uninhabited island and atolls in the FSM. But, there are four main islands that make up the Federation. They are, starting from east to west, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, and Yap.

The low islands of Micronesia were typically formed by coral reefs growing on the submerged slopes of submerged volcanic mountains, which built up over time to create the islands. Additionally, some low islands in Micronesia were formed by the accumulation of sand and sediment carried by ocean currents and deposited on top of submerged volcanic peaks.

Small islands in Micronesia have been historically used by industrialized countries for military purposes due to their strategic location in the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, they have also been targets for resource extraction, such as fishing and mining, leading to environmental concerns and exploitation of local communities.

I have respect for Chamorros, as they have respect for me as well. On the other hand, when I would be on Guam and Saipan, I would run into trouble with Chuukeese, I talked to some locals who are chamorro, and they say that they're the 'ghetto'. I agreed to their response because the way they act and treated me was selfish. Anyways, To answer your question, I would say the other Micronesians follow footsteps of their older generations, so they won't be judged in their own society. So therefore, they're rude, selfish, ignorant, and closed-minded to others opinion or action.

Depending on how far South and how far East of Micronesia <which includes Guam in the Northern Marianas to Palau> AND Melenesia <which includes parts of Western Indonesia, New Guinea & Vanauta> then Polynesia is East and South of those which includes Fiji, Samoa & Am Samoa, Pitcairn Is, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Hawaii. but all three of these major Oceania areas are under different Political flags Ethnically the farther South you go there is probably a blending of Austronesian with Aboriginals from Australia. also the linguisitics changes do not neccesarily mean that the genetic markers changed within each Subgroup of peoples. the Political change of these 3 major Oceania areas is a good analogy of the language changing without any real inter mixing of the genetic marker.
