What are the parts of a Military-industrial complex?
The military industrial complex is basically the symbiotic relationship between big business and the US Military. Since technology is constantly being updated, the military needs to be updated to remain prepared. The term was coined by President Eisenhower during his last national address to warn the American people of this coming problem.
Big business basically invents new technologies, the military decision makers covet these things, a foreign country steals these things, and we end up buying it to stay ahead. It's basically a big money trap that we are now mired in.
Why was guerrilla warfare important during the American revolution?
From the end of WWII (1945) until 1960, the US was NOT geared for guerrilla warfare. The US was prepared to fight the USSR, when they came "through the Fulda-Gap" in Europe. Every tank, every warship, every jet fighter plane, was geared for conventional war against the USSR (Soviet Union) in Europe. Including the US Infantryman's battle rifle, the M-14.
With 20/20 hindsight, and the collapse of the USSR in 1990, it seemed all a little bit of a waste, when the historian considers the fact; that the ONLY two major wars to occur after 1945; were in ASIA. The ONLY US personnel that were prepared to fight a guerrilla war, were our US Special Forces (Green Beret). And "they" were President Kennedy's first reinforcement group of men sent to Vietnam.
As history bears out, the US fought the war in Vietnam with cold war weapons intended to fight the Soviet Union. We did learn however, that the guerrilla could be beat, if we applied fire power with search and destroy. The Viet Cong (primarily a guerrilla force), was essentially defeated by the end of 1969, only the hard core NVA (North Viet Army) remained undefeated until we departed the country (when ordered to, the NVA held their ground).

Well, this depends completely on what level you wish to define the term 'group'.
Ten privates make up a section. The section was composed for four riflemen, two scouts (whose job it was to get themselves in forward positions and act as the eyes and ears), a machine gunner and his 'number 2', a second in command (2IC) called a lance corporal and the section commander, who was a corporal. Three sections made up a platoon, which was commanded by a lieutenant, with a sergeant as his second-in-command. Three platoons formed a company, under the command of a major, with a captain 2IC and company sergeant major - a warrant officer class 2. As well, each company would have its retinue of cooks, medics and the like.
Four companies, usually designated A, B, C and D, formed a battalion (however some battalions had a fifth machine-gun company called E company). Battalions were usually commanded by a lieutenant colonel, known as the CO or commanding officer, and his wider staff included a major as 2IC, and other officers with such responsibilities as intelligence, logistics, operations, mortars, medical services, signals and administration, while transport formed essentially the fifth 'support' company. Battalion HQ was an entity in its own right and the nerve centre of the battalion . Each soldier learnt that it was essential to protect Batallion HQ as it was the brain of the whole body - now composed of over five hundred men - which gathered in all intelligence from the battlefront and issued hopefully intelligent instructions. Three battalions formed a brigade, commanded by a brigadier, and higher still than a brigadier - way up high in charge of a division of three brigades - was a major general, then further up a lieutenant general and general.

How do you get a General Discharge upgraded to Honorable?
You may apply to have your characterization of service changed to Honorable by filling out a DD-293 and submitting the application to the Discharge Review Board (DRB) for your service. Applicants are entitled to two reviews within 15 years of their discharge date. One is a document review where the DRB examines your records along with any supporting documentation you provide to support your case. The second is a personal appearance hearing before the DRB in Washington DC in which you can make your case in person.
Upgrades are never automatic, and are actually fairly rare. Applications are reviewed based on the propriety (legality) and equity (fairness) of the discharge received. You must submit clear, decisive issues for the board to consider, and you must support any claims with documentation. Having an expert assist you with the process is highly recommended in order to maximize your chances of success. There are a few organizations who provide solid, free support to veterans. The American Legion does a good job for free. There is also a Facebook page which which is very helpful.
