Does birth control cause birth deffects?
Although there is very little evidence to prove this some doctors believe that hormonal birth control can cause birth defects.
Human chorionic gonatropin, or hCG is a hormone produced by the fetus during early pregnancy, and later by the placenta. It acts to restart and maintain testosterone production in men, and is commonly used as a homeopathic diet solution, mostly found in droplet form.
How long does a it take to pass a blood clot knowing that you are miscarrying?
I'm so sorry to hear that. When that happened to me, mine passed within 24 hours. Good luck.
You think you are having a miscarriage you are six weeks pregnant but there are no clots?
i am in same situation i dont no what is going on an i am so scared i am losing my baby any advice? jenn No sorry, I spoke to the nurse at the doctors today and she said she thinks I'm miscarrying she said the only thing she can advise is to put a urine sample in at the end of the week and wait for the results. Some bleeding does happen in pregnancies though its not uncommon to have some. I have an eight year old and I bled for a little while in the beginning, my cousin had her periods all the way through to the end of her pregnancy and she had a gorgeous litle girl! Let me know how you get on good luck x x x
How much bleeding causes a miscarriage?
Bleeding is a symptom of miscarriage, not the cause. If a woman is miscarrying, it usually means the embryo/fetus has already died and the bleeding starts when the body recognizes that it is no longer pregnant and starts to clean out the uterus so that the fertility cycle can begin again.
No, it does not mean that you are in high risk of a misscarriage. The Doctor will normally give a due date with an ultrasound but with a variable of 2 weeks before or after the due date. No worries!
Thank you! I also did some other research, and i guess since I just came off the pill, that could have thrown off my ovulation for that month, which could throw off my due date.
It is very normal to have some cramping during pregnancy. If it is severe or continues for a long period of time, see your doctor.
Is it bad for the baby if someone shakes your belly?
The baby should be okay. HOWEVER, if you do not want your belly shaken, then no one should do it. You don't need a justification at all. Your body is personal territory and no means no.
What is the main cause of heavy bleeding during menstruation?
Heavy bleeding during menstruation is usually related to a hormonal imbalance.
What should you do if your hcg levels drop?
I am a 53 years old who has had 5 miscarriages. Before the 5th miscarriage my doctor had informed me that after a blood test was done that a hormone called progestrone was decreasing instead of increasing, unfortunantly he was not able to save me from the loss of the 5th baby. He did say when I get pregnant a 6th time to come in immediately and receive progestone injections for the first trimester and that I'd carry that 6th one to full term. My ex-husband's sister was having the same problem and received the injections and she had a beautiful baby girl 9 months later. unfortunantly I was in my 40's and my ex said we were to old to try for a 6th. I do hope this helps you in anyway. Cheri
I was 6 weeks pregnant when I started spotting it was bright red and had to wear a pad. It did not soak the entire pad though it was alot, so I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and found a heart beat. My baby (son) was fine, and they told me that if it was a miscarriage it would be heavier blood and bigger clotting. After the heart beat is seen there is less then 50% of miscarriage. Good luck but call or see a Doctor is there are any big concerns or worries... They know more then alot of people on here...
There are two common causes of unusual abdominal size. Although you should always see your doctor regarding health problems, they may or may not be helpful for resolving these issues as they are more "nuisance" than life threatening. There could be other causes, so if you are having other symptoms, seek medical advice. First, and perhaps the least likely if you have a low body fat generally, is that fat tends to build up around your internal organs in a web-like structure which protects these organs, called your omentum. Thus, reducing caloric intake and increasing activity levels can reduce this cause. Second, the increased abdominal size could be caused by an enlarged colon. The Merck Manual describes a condition known as megacolon. However, it is possible to have an enlarged colon that would not yet be classified as megacolon. This state could be related to water retention, bloating, or excess gas. However, if this has been a consistent issue for more than a few days, fecal retention is most likely the culprit. Fecal retention is most often caused by the colon sedating effects of wheat gluten, excess dietary fibre, or another cause of decreased colon motility. Treatment for this chronic or "latent" constipation is not as simple as alleviating the initial cause. Wheat gluten may need to be eliminated. Bowel habits may need to be re-examined. The website Gutsense.org provides some detailed advice and treatment for this and other conditions.

Can carrying dead fetus damage immune system?
The dead fetus will start to decompose like everything else that is dead and if not removed you will get a serious infection, blood poisoning and become sterile and can even die.
Can a mustard bath make you miscarry?
I heard this during the early 60's. My mother told me a friend's mother used mustard baths to abort her unborn children.
Not very likely. Pregnant women should avoid really hot baths though.
Oh dear, your ob/gyn should have told you this. Yes it is normal, it is just the scabbing dropping awayu from where you had the suture inserted.
If the hospital told you had a miscarriage then you probably did but if you still feel like you are pregnant go buy a pregnancy test to see if you still are to make yourself feel better. I had a miscarriage and my doctor told me it takes a full month for the pregnancy symptoms to go away. Until you have your next period you will still have all your symptoms. And, your first period after a miscarriage probably will be really heavy, clotty and painful.
If you are having cramps and/or bleeding, it would be important to see a doctor. These are signs of a miscarriage or a threatened miscarriage. Only an ultrasound can tell reasonably well how your baby is, or if there is some other cause.
What is it called when you know something didnt happen but you start to think it did?
I think you are refering to what is known as Dejavu from what you described to me.
How do you get misscarriage naturally?
The body takes care of it if you are no more than 3 months. Then it is usually about whether the embryo is viable or not. If you have one without inducing in any way - it is a real miscarriage. Otherwise it is an abortion.
