Remove your radio, get the serial number and call the dealership, they won't charge for the code they usually charge to remove the CD player to find the serial number.

convert no!!! swap yes!!! You can use the rb26dett (thats the only twin turbo the skyline has) You can not use the tranny from the rb26dett(GTR)because it is AWD the rb25det can also be used(not a twin turbo) You would have to use the sr20det tranny or the tranny from a GTS also a skyline and some different motor mounts and a drive shaft but yes it can be done.

You need to remove the timing belt cover in order to gain access to it. If you want to replace it, timing belt has to be removed too.

My 1992 Eclipse is doing the exact same thing, someone told me it might be the transmission computer or just the wiring. Whatever it is, this is really starting to irritate me.

Well it helps if you have a repair manual for your car so that you can reference the wiring schematic for the stereo connections it will eliminate a lot of guess work. Using a multimeter find a wire in the connector in the dash that was formerly on the stock radio that has 12 volts when the key is off and this will be your Batt. connection. Now with the key on find a second wire with 12 volts and this will be your Ign. connection. If you have a power antenna there should be a connection for that on the new stereo and the wiring schematic will tell you which one that is. As for the speakers once again a schematic is the best way but you can take fir instance the left front speaker wires from the new stereo with the unit turned on and tuned to a station and through trial and error find the two that feed the left front speaker or Ive heard you can use a 9v battery and listen for a buzz to identify the correct wires, or use the continuity tester on the multimeter to identify the wires. The Radio will need to be attached to the frame from the old radio and may be smaller or larger than the stock unit so purchasing an install kit from the auto parts or stereo store will help a lot with giving it a clean appearance. I have done many stereo installs over the years and have finally decided that its best to buy the unit from a stereo store and have them install it, less headaches and they dont usually charge much in fact many places do it free.

The simplest case is old spark plugs and spark plug wires. Also if you live in an old state you might have some water in the tank.

If you install new spark plugs don't forget to put the correct spark plug gap.

I called the Mitsubishi imports dealership and they said that the Eclipse Gt 2000-05 takes 4.5 quarts of oil and that is with the filter too!

so no more than 4.5 quarts with a new oil filter

If you're smart, you don't. So-called "HID kits" to convert halogen headlamps are widely available, but they are (all) illegal and dangerous; halogen headlamps must use halogen bulbs.

It's 3", it will run anywhere from 60 to 100 dollars to replace. I would say just make the hole bigger and put a more common size in like a 3.5" or 4" speaker as it is more cost efficient and better quality, and alot easier to find.

It's on the driver's side of the vehicle BETWEEN the subframe and firewall. Access to the drain is virtually impossible without having the car on a lift to get your arms in there far enough. It is VERY difficult to see and can only be seen from the bottom of the car. The drain hole is to the right of the steering shaft. One way to clear the drain without getting too involved is to access it from inside the vehicle. Go to the driver's side and look under the dash. To the right of the steering shaft you will see a black "box" forward of the center console. This box is where your moisture collects and it runs directly into the firewall to drain the water out. If you feel around between the box and the firewall you will feel a foam gasket. This is where the drain is. You can drill a small hole in the SIDE of this box at the SAME LEVEL as the drain (water may drain out but if you have this issue then your floor is already wet). This will allow you to fit a hanger or something similar into the hole and work it into the drain to clear the clog. To verify you're clearing the clog, push the hanger in until you think you've made it through the drain and leave it. Go under the car and look for the hanger sticking out. Again this drain is very difficult to see. If you see the hanger then you have made it through. Continue to work the hanger around until you see all of the water draining out of the drain. Run the ac until you see water dripping from the drain consistently. Once you feel you've cleared the clog, get a small retainer tab (or screw) and put a dab of silicone on it and push it into the hole to seal it up.

I could have posted pictures but I don't have that much time. If this doesn't make any sense to you then you probably shoudn't attempt this procedure. Requires some mechanical knowledge.
