How do you change a water pump 1996 Mitsubishi eclipse?
Here is the procedure, according to the service manual. Sorry, I could not import the figures to reference.
For the 1.6L SOHC:
DESCRIPTION
The water pump on this vehicle is attached to the rear of the power steering pump to form an assembly
(Fig. 27). The water pump/power steering pump assembly is located on the front corner of the engine
(Fig. 29).
The water pump is bolted to the rear of the power steering pump. Driven by the power steering pump
shaft, the water pump's impeller is located inside a die-cast aluminum housing. The water pump housing has a built in outlet. The water pump also has a bolt-on inlet cover with two ports, one for incoming coolant from the radiator and the other for incoming coolant from the heater.
Both pumps (water and power steering) can be serviced separately. Remove the entire water pump/
power steering pump assembly, then disassemble it to service either pump.
For information on the power steering pump, (Refer to 19 - STEERING/PUMP - DESCRIPTION).

(2) Use the following steps to access the water pump impeller hex.
(a) Place a 1⁄4 inch drive 10 mm socket in through the coolant inlet tube, then back it into the heater hose fitting area as shown (Fig. 30). Backing the socket into the heater hose fitting makes it easier to perform the following step.
(b) Holding the socket in this position, insert a 1⁄4 inch drive extension (6 inches in length or longer) in through the heater hose fitting into the rear of the 10 mm socket.
(c) Push the socket with the extension into the pump placing the socket on the hex built into the
center of the water pump impeller.
(3) While holding the power steering pump shaft from turning using a hex wrench in the pulley end of
the shaft, loosen the impeller by rotating the 1⁄4 inch drive extension counterclockwise using a ratchet. The water pump will rise off of the power steering pump as the impeller is rotated.
(4) Once the threads have been disengaged, remove the entire water pump assembly from the power steering pump. If the water pump will be used again, the 10 mm socket and extension can be left inside the water pump until reassembly is completed.
(5) If the water pump inlet cover needs to be removed, remove the seven fasteners around the perimeter of the pump and remove the cover. Discard the housing O-ring type seal.
(6) If the power steering pump pulley needs to be removed, (Refer to 19 - STEERING/PUMP - DISASSEMBLY).
NOTE: For reassembly, (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE/WATER PUMP - ASSEMBLY).
ASSEMBLY
(1) If the water pump inlet cover needs to be installed on the water pump:
(a) First apply Mopart Dielectric Grease or equivalent to a NEW water pump O-ring seal.
(b) Place the O-ring seal in the housing groove where the cover contacts the housing.
(c) Install the seven fasteners around the perimeter of the pump. Tighten them to 12 N·m (105 in.lbs.) torque.
(2) If a pulley needs to be installed on the power steering pump, (Refer to 19 - STEERING/PUMP -
ASSEMBLY).
(3) Place the water pump assembly onto the power steering pump shaft.
(4) Rotate the water pump so the water pump outlet is near the water pump upper mounting holes
(hole with dowel guide). Arrange the three pump fastener holes so they line up.
(5) If the water pump impeller hex has not been accessed with a socket, use the following steps to
access the water pump impeller hex.
(a) Place a 1⁄4 inch drive 10 mm socket in through the coolant inlet tube, then back it into the heater hose fitting area as shown (Fig. 30).
(b) Holding the socket in this position, insert a 1⁄4 inch drive extension (6 inches in length or longer) in through the heater hose fitting into the rear of the 10 mm socket.
(c) Push the socket with the extension into the pump placing the socket on the hex built into the center of the water pump impeller.
(6) While holding the power steering pump shaft from turning using a hex wrench in the pulley end of
the shaft, tighten the water pump impeller rotating the 1⁄4 inch drive extension clockwise using a ratchet. This will draw the water pump in toward the power steering pump. Tighten the impeller to 26 N·m (19 ft. lbs.) torque.
(7) Remove the 10 mm socket, 1⁄4 inch extension and ratchet from the water pump. Remove the hex
wrench.

What would cause a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse to keep overheating?
Possible causes for a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse to keep overheating could include a faulty thermostat, a clogged radiator, a leaking cooling system, a malfunctioning water pump, or a blown head gasket. It is recommended to have the cooling system inspected by a mechanic to determine the exact cause.
Why does your 95 eclipse shake at times when you stop?
You may have warped brake rotors. Eclipse's have a problem with that. Do you feel it in the brake pedal? You mite need a tune up If you are at a complete stop when you feel it you probably have a bad motor or tranny mount. If you are moving and you feel it when you hit the brakes it is probably warped rotors.
Does a 1993 Mitsubishi eclipse have an electronic ingtion module in the distributor?
Yes, the 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse is equipped with an electronic ignition module located inside the distributor. This module controls the timing and firing of the spark plugs, essential for the engine to run smoothly.
To bleed air from the cooling system of a 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse, park the car on a level surface, remove the radiator cap when the engine is cold, start the engine, and let it run until the thermostat opens. Squeeze the upper radiator hose to help release air bubbles, keep topping up the coolant as needed, and replace the radiator cap once the system is fully bled. Monitor the temperature gauge and coolant levels to ensure proper operation.
What is most likely the cause of a small evap system leak on a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS?
it happened to my Honda Accord yesterday also. Friend of mine used scanner to detect that problem and found out that the part name "Purge system solenoid valve" was broken. I hope this will give you a hint for your car. Thia problem can also be caused by an improperly installed air filter housing. The housing may not be sealed properly on its gaskets or the holding clips may not be set. It is an easy item to check! You may want to check your charcoal canister also...I had the same problem just two month's ago and that was the problem...I have a 99 Eclipse RS Spyder.... it is your roll over valve on the fuel tank i have a 97 rs too it had the same problem I would start with making sure you have a good seal on your gas cap as well (three clicks whenever it is removed and put back on). This is one of the most common causes of this code. Also, check all your vaccum lines for cracks from the gas tank to the evap system. Another cause, as mentioned above, is the purge solenoid sensor.
A Pokémon is classified as a GTS (Global Trade Station) evolution if it evolves when traded through the in-game GTS feature. This includes Pokémon like Gengar, Machoke, and Haunter, which evolve into Gengar, Machamp, and Gengar respectively when traded.

How do you remove and replace a radiator support on a 1999 eclipse?
The '95 to '99 Doge and Plymouth Neon's have a radiator support that is held in by spot welds. You can purchase a spot weld removal kit at your local auto body shop, but it is a process. If you have some time on your hands and the tools to weld it back together you'll save alot of money. If you don't have the tools, or the know how, it's better just to pay a shop to do it.
How do you replace spark plugs 2002 eclipse 3.0 v-6?
You probably cannot do it yourself. To get to the back 3 plugs the A/C coolet needs to be extracted and pipe removed. If you take it to the shop it may run about $300 for the labor required to access the plugs. :( You probably cannot do it yourself. How do you change eclipse o2 sensor?
Removing the camshaft position sensor is the easy part. Once you've located it on the end of the head (driverside, above the transmission, on the right side as you look at it) remove your air hose from your throttle body this will give you just a little bit more space to work on it. Once that's removed using a 10 mm socket untighten the four bolts holding it on. Make sure you clean all the oil off the magnet and clean up before installing the new one. Most 1995 neon require a replacement pigtail to attach the camshaft position sensor to the connector. Its called Wells socket 445 connector cost about $25. Make sure you match up the wiring and splice it in.
How do you replace the alternator on a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse?
If it's like my 96 eclipse then the alternator is on the back of the motor bottom passenger side... hard to get to but if you jack the car up about a foot you should have a decent amount of space back there... just disconnect the wires and unbolt the alternator... make sure you unbolt the one on the adjuster side first so nothing pops out so to speak
ANswer:
Depends on the motor, on the 4G63T its on the Diverside under the power steering pump. theres a tensioner bolt on the bottom and a bolt in the bracket (12MM) and a bolt on the bottom that is just a guide pin. once you loosen the bolt in the bracket and the tensioner the belt comes off then pull the pin, the electrical connector and you should be ready to install the new (please remember first step is diconnect the battery!)
How do you remove the intake manifold on an eclipse?
Basically you remove the throttle body, fuel rail, and anything else that is plugging into it, then unbolt it. You need to get a shop manual however, because there is a specific bolt pattern you need to use to avoid damage.
How do you remove a headlight assembly from a 97 eclipse?
"I dont know but am looking for an answer myself, so far I know for sure theres a couple of 10 mil bolts on the back of the assembly and from what i gather i think you have to take off the front bumper but i dont know....need more help."
I didn't read the date on this, but it's a top Google result so here it goes:
Yes, you have to remove the bumper. There are about 6 screws (Running along the engine bay near the radiator), 4 bolts (Easy to spot! One in each front corner of the bay and one in each corner under the bumper. You don't have to jack the car and it's extra easy if you have a swivel on your socket.), and 2 clips (You'll see these wanting to un-clip after the two bolts in the bay are removed) holding it on. There are 2-4 more bolts on each lamp's mount that you must remove also. (Obviously you must also remove the bulbs from the lamps as well. I think it's common knowledge, but just in case; never touch the bulbs themselves or the oil from your skin will ruin them!) Should only take an hour at most your first time from start to finish.

Make sure the black wire is grounded to a non painted metal surface.
How do enter code on radio if it's in lock mode?
The radio code should be on a credit card which is in the car's documentation
If you don't have the code then contact your local Jaguar dealer, they should be able to look up the code on their computer using the VIN
Once you have the number......
Turn the key in the ignition until the warning lights shoe
Switch on the radio by turning the on/of knob clockwise
The radio should be blank
Enter the 4 digit code using the preset buttons.
If an incorrect code has been entered......
Hold the CATS button for at least 3 seconds, the number should disappear
Enter the correct number
You only have 3 goes to get it right - if you've entered 3 incorrect numbers you'll need to contact your Jaguar dealer to find out how to release the radio,. This may involve:
- disconnecting the battery
- reconnecting the battery
- running the car for at least an hour
- repeating the steps above
You can't do it by yourself. You basically have two choices. First one is to visit local Mitsubishi dealer... It will cost you around $200. Second you can visit local company which specializes in electronic locks. They usually have required equipment.
How do you reset a Mitsubishi anti theft radio?
I have the same problem with my 1994 GT. I was told you have to go to the Mitsubishi dealer and have them reset the stereo. So I called Mitsubishi and they want $120 to do that. If you know a more economical method to reset the stereo, I would love to hear it. The way I got my code without having to pay for it was when I took my car to the dealer the tech left the lights on over night so the battery died. When I went to pick it up they had to reset the radio...so they had to suck up the fee. Once you have the code you use the channel stations to enter the number once code is entered you just hit the am/fm button. I do know that when the dealer had to call and get the code they gave it to me and did tell me it was at least $100 to get the dumb code normally. Might as well just pay the price. But I think you need the radio out as well to give them the serial number. Not very user friendly...hence the anti-theft.
