How much boost you can run, is dependate on the strength on the components in the engine/car( connecting rods/pistons, head gasket to the transmission)
Most Normally Aspirated engines can safely handle 6-8psi of boost on a stock engine. The capability of the fuel and ignition systems and the head gaskets being the first limits. Second would be the piston/connecting rods.
The easiest way to turbo an N/A car is to find someone that manufacturers an complete conversion kit. It will come with everything you need. Everything needs to be modified or replaced to some extent.
- You will need to replace spark plugs( colder range). Tuner/ECU or Ignition timing retarder (underboost).
- You will need bigger injectors or a FMU( boost sensitive fuel regulator)
- New turbo exhaust manifold, down pipe/exhaust, wastegate/BOV.
- intake tubing/filter

The fuel filter and fuel pump for a 3g Eclipse is located under the rear seat. You should see a panel near the center. Make sure you take the gas cap off first before you open it as to relieve pressure from the tank otherwise you'll.....well you can imagine the outcome. yeah......depending on what model you have, they're decent. i have an '09 eclipse GT and it was pretty good with the chains on.....the car's super heavy for it's class so it keep you pretty low and grounded....the only bad thing....the car has so much pull from the FWD....(it's almost 300 hp) it WILL spin the front tires with the chains.....so be carefull on the acceleration....other than that, the traction control and the low seating are ok..........

i have a 2002 eclipse gs and i have replaced the drums on mine. I am thinking that the year difference and model difference wont change the drums. For my car there were two holes in the drums when you take the tires off and i just had to get some bolts that fit in those holes and screw them in. That pushed the drums off the hub and i could change them. Although be careful when you get them loose and when you pul them off because depending on how worn they are the pads might stick to the drum and you might bend something in the assembly.
