How to fix odometer of 1990 Nissan Pulsar?
The problem with mine was a small (blue) gear driven by a motor in the speedo cluster. the gear had a few stripped teeth which caused the odo to stop working.
The problem I have is that to get repaired I have to take to a instrument repairer who won't sell me the part (and will charge me $125 Aussie dollars to fix.
The gear is plastic and worth about 20 cents.

How do you remove the door trim from a 1994 Nissan Pulsar?
First off open the door. Take off the window winder (small circlip holding it on, use a flat blade screw driver) Remove the screw holding on the door handle. Along the outside edge of the trim there will be either screw or "plugs", undo the screws or pop out the plugs. Lift the door trim up, slightly angled towards the door hinge. This may take a bit of trial and error but does work, can be extremelt frustrating, and getting it back on can be a pain.

How do you replace outer LH cv joint boot on Nissan Pulsar N15 auto?
1. Before jacking the car up, remove the outer joint splitpin and slacken the nut. These can be TIGHT! The best tool is a 3/4" power bar with a 32mm socket. Spanners tend to slip off. You might have to have someone have their foot on the brake to stop the car moving. If necessary use a length of pipe with the powerbar for more leverage. 2. Jack up from the left side only and put on stands. Front and rear is best. 3. Remove the road wheel, the inner plastic shield, the leftside undershield and the brake caliper. Tie up out of the way. Remove the two bolts connecting the spring/damper unit to the kingpin and the outer joint nut. Carefully undo the INNER joint large boot clip. 4. Now pull the kingpin towards you and TAP the end of the cv joint spindle. The whole hub assembly will turn to full left lock and the cv joint spindle will slide out of the bearing. 5. Now pull the whole driveshaft out. The inner joint will split laving the major part still in the gearbox. This keeps the oil in! 6. With the shaft in a vice remove the circlip retaining the inner joint spider. Wear safety glasses as they can fly! Remove the spider, it will have to be driven off with a hammer and drift. (use a screw driver when no one is looking!). Undo the inner boot clip and slide off. Some models have a rubber damper clipped on to the shaft. CAREFULLY remove the clips and slide off. 7. Now the outer boot is exposed and you can replace it. 8. Reassembly is the reverse process. Make certain the spider goes back on the right way around. If its not, the circlip will not fit.
The old clips can be reused on the inner joint. In case you are wondering, the reason for doing it like this is the outer joints RARELY come off the shaft without damage. I've had to cut off a worn out cv joint with a cutting disc to avoid damaging the shaft. Regards, Alistair.
How do you change fronthead light bulb for a primera?
After opening the bonnet you will see behind the actual lights two "caps" on either side. They look and feel like like rubber lids. Lift larger one (or far left if replacing left bulb and far right for right bulb) to replace main headlight bulb. It is good practice to replace both main bulbs together. Indicator.... for anyone interested is way over to left side for left or right side for right. It is down lower than others and is a grey cylinder that twists out to take replacement bulb. By the way, I found all this out while trying to change my parking bulb .....which I still haven't managed to do so I would appreciate any help on this one!! Thanks
