There aren't many aims or objectives for noise pollution. Many aims are against noise pollution because it is physically harmful to the human body.

Physical noise is associated with distractions that result from a noisy environment.

Technology is also a source of noise pollution. For example: unmonitored use of mobile phones electrical appliances loud speakers and TV. People don't switch off their mobile phones when they are in offices or in schools and colleges. They also use electric generator and it's loud voice irritates the nearby residents. Also listening to loud music and TV are also a source of noise pollution.

People need to develop a civic responsibility so that they may not trouble others.

A study was carried out to determine levels and factors that influence noise pollution from small-scale industries (SSIs) in Dar es Salaam City Tanzania. Two sites for wood- and metalworks industries were investigated. Both sites exhibited equivalent noise levels higher than 90.0 dBA, the permissible exposure level limit for occupational noise. At a woodworks SSI, noise levels were found to correlate well with machine-use age, wood-feed speed, and wood-cut depth. Additionally, noise emanating from both types of SSIs was found to influence the level of environmental noise in the neighborhood of the SSIs. One woodworks SSI was found to have a circle of influence of about 140 m. The study concluded that SSIs present a serious source of environmental noise pollution in their neighborhoods. Noise pollution from SSIs is greatly influenced by the type of SSIs and the activities they carry out, the type and age of machines they use, their location relative to residential areas in their vicinity, and in-house noise control measures.

There are numnerous causes of noise pollution. Some common ones are... Some towns and cities actually have laws and limists as to the noise pollution that its citizens can make. If you individually wanted to reduce noise pollution you could try some eay things like... *Noisy leaf blowers, bush trimmers, lawn mowers, ect. *Un-sound proofed rooms *Loud music *Slamming doors / car doors. (People don't usually think of this, but imagine - how loud is it when you slam your car door? Pretty tolerable. But imagine thousands of people doing so. Now that can start to get loud. *TVs or radios. *Animals (barking dogs, tweeting birds, ect). *Voices, yelling, conversations. *Construction. *Beeping car horns, revving engines, cars, turcks, planes, ect.

This varies and you should check with the appropriate level of government depending on where you live. In North America, the social norm is 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM but the law may be different from this.
