The Mongolian nomads live in tent-like structures called Gers

They survived by constantly moving with their grazing animals among the scatted oases or fertile spots with water

Nomads moved from place to place. Nomads lived in tents and raised goats, sheep, and camels. They traveled with their herds to find food and water for their animals. They traveled in tribes, or groups of people. Tribe membership provided protection from danger and reduced competition for grazing lands.

Sahara desert nomads eat foods that include goat meat, milk, dates, rice, and dried fruits. Nomads usually herd animals like goats from which they get their meat and milk. The other foods are carried by these people.

Hunting is the reason for nomadism (not sure if that is legit). Nomads move from one place to another to follow herds of game aniamls, such as buffalo. Gathering is just a way for them to collect food they cannot attain from hunting.

There was adequate water from the rivers, whose waters could be used for storage, irrigation and drinking.

The surplus of food generated by these factors enabled the development of settlements which grew into towns and cities.

The maize turned nomads into farmers.

That depends entirely on where the nomads are. Nomads in the Arabian deserts for example may have sheep or goats as a major food source. Nomads like the Lapps in northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia would rely on reindeer. Before the coming of Europeans, nomadic Native Americans relied on Bison or deer or pronghorn for food (depending on where they lived).

Nomads are people who have no fixed residence but move from place to place within the deserts or winter-climated places. They mostly live in marginal areas.

A nomadic lifestyle is considered to be one where the people do not have permanent settlements and are always traveling from place to place. Examples of this would be Great Plains Native Americans following the buffalo herds, the Mongol society as well as various older cultures throughout Europe.

the lack (or relative lack) of permanent settlements (villages and towns) They usually travel because they are forced to for sustenance. They may live in an area for a day a week or even years but eventually they will move on to survive. Bedouins are the best-known nomadic people still surviving today.
