Try under the dash, just to the right of the steering column. GM started "hiding" them there in the 80s.

Paper clip in obd connector under steering wheel. Bend paper clip in U shape and Insert both ends in to top two on right side Terminals A-B.Check engine light should flash and begin flashing each group of flashes represents numbers. 1 blink then 2 blinks means code 12 that means it getting ready to send codes does this 3x before codes and after.

My friend, It's located in the fuel tank, which means you'll probably have to drop the tank to access the sending unit and fuel pump which also means getting it as empty as possible and probably replacing the holding straps(age of car probably rusted), you may also need special fuel line tool to disconnect pressurized fuel line from tank in order to drop it. There will be(probably on top of tank) approxinmately 3 1/2" access port that fuel lines protrude from that has a locking ring to seal top of sending unit(this ring can be removed by gently tapping it to rotate it to the point(s) that it can be removed. After the steel ring is removed, the sending unit may be pulled from the tank, and the fuel pump is mounted to the sending unit along with the fuel level sending unit and the fuel sock. Hope this helps, and sorry the job isn't any easier.

The 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass horn relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The horn relay switch will be on the drivers side of the firewall.

If it is a 3.8 there will be a tension pulley at the center of the engine. if you are standing on the right side of the car (P/S) That pulley will have a 1/2 ratchet slot in its center. Taking your 1/2 ratchet handle place it in the slot (to make this a bit easier I use some type of extension, be it a bar or a large box end wrench. Lock the ratchet handle so that it will push towards the back of the car. This will take the pressure off of the tension pulley. You will now be able to remove the belt. Note: There should be a diagram of how the belt is to be placed on the or around the radiator. It would not be unheard of to find the diagram in your owners manual. It is worth a shot. Make sure that all the ridges of the belt are in the slots on the pulley's. Release the ratchet tension and there you have it. The information about the 1/2 ratchet is incorrect. The pulley has a nut on it. Get the correct socket size, place it on the nut with a 1/2" ratchet handle and do all the rest.

The filter is not external and you cannot see it by inspection. Under the car next to the plug for draining your oil is a circular object with a lug in the middle. After you drain your oil, unscrew the 5" disc and pop your oil filter down with a screwdriver. On some 1990s The oil filter is located behind the right front wheel. To get to the fileter you want to turn your wheels to the right but make sure you have not drained the oil before starting the car to turn the wheels. There will be a plastic pannel that you can just pull up on to fit your hand in there to turn the filter.

It is located on the rear of the motor, under the exhaust manifold. Be careful when taking it out, they have been known to break off in the hole, and then become a real pain to finish the repair..

Remove the retaining ring from the top of the ignition switch. Pull the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.

the front ones you can change buy just removing the plug wires and using the proper tool the back plugs you have to undo the front motor mounts and pry or pull motor forward ex ( i had to chain mine to a pole and back it up really slow with the mounts undone) do not try to do this with one persone i recoment using a come a long the motor will alow enuff movement for you to get at the back 3 plugs with tight space but it can be done. read your servace manual.

jack up the car turn the wheel to acess the brake bolts torx t-50 unbolt slip outer pad out take a c clamp to push back the cylinder til flush un srew put in new pads bolt backin repete otherside . bleed the rigt side frist have frend pump brake open valve with 10mm wranch close after lickwood cums out repete outher side thanx i spell good not!!!!!

The fuel pump for a 96 ciera is in the tank.

I think the only way to get to it is to go inside the trunk. You will see the wires going up to it. Then after you losen it then you go back in side the car to change it.

If it is green in colour it is the standard anti freeze that you have seen and used on all vehicles. If it is red/brownish/pinkish/colour it is called "Dexcool".That is GM's long life antifreeze(5 years between change intervals) You do not want to wait this long .Have ENTIRE SYSTEM on car flushed every 2 years for proper maintenance

Unplug it, then unscrew it, then install a new one. A special tool is available that's basically a bent-up 9/16" wrench.

on the driverside engine firewall

In order to locate and replace the cylindrical shape flasher module, the four screws holding the fusebox in must be removed. The glove compartment door hinge is sort of in the way so it is best to remove glove compartment screws, though glove compartment door will still stay on. the cylindrical shape flasher module is located behind fusebox and it has to be searched for by feeling for it. In my case I found it by reaching behind fusebox to the left. I was told to first turn on my four way directional signal so that after I disconnected the cylindrical shape flasher module I knew for sure that I was not disconnecting the four way cylindrical shape module. Now the cylindrical shape flasher module that I removed was yellow in color and the one I bought to replace the cylindrical shape flasher module was silver in color. Getting the fuse box out took a little tilting and angeling to get out This information is 100 percent correct. Thank you. Remove the fuse box and the glove compartment and there it is. Cut the wire tie holding the flasher and replace. Thak you Additional Answer I just fixed mine last night, but I didn't have to mess with the fusebox. It turns out that the flasher was attached by a clip on the right side of the ashtray frame inside the dashboard. I took out the removable "cup" part of the ashtray, then removed the two upper and two lower ashtray frame screws. Next, I pulled the frame forward and disconnected the small ashtray light. The power wire for the cigarette lighter can stay attached. After that, it was easy to get to and replace the flasher unit.

why does my cutless ciera stall when running and starts back up

Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine. If one was to break the engine would cease to run. A compression test would read "0".

I've got an 89 cutlass ciera and it is located behind glove box. open and pull out like 4 screws and there it is.

4 cylinder is 1-3-4-2 rotor turns clockwise

6 cylinder is 1-6-5-4-3-2 rotor turns clockwise
