How do you remove the driver side door panel on a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass?
Hi, The power control unit on the door panel have clips that will sinmply pop out with a screwdriver exposing a few door panel to body screws. Remove these and the rest of the panel has the same clips.Simply pop them out.Best bet is to replace them after you remove the panel to get a nice tight fit.You can get them from any local parts store.

Where are the coolant bleeder screws on a 95 Cutlass?
I don't know where specifically they would be (if there are any at all...), but on most of the engines I have worked on that have had them, they were in the engine block somewhere, with the intended purpose of a drain, not an air bleed. I don't think many modern cars (if any at all) have bleeder screws for coolant.

How do you remove a transmission on a 95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL?
I was told by my mechanic (who I trust implicitly, very honest) that you have to drop the engine and transaxle out of the car as a unit which makes it very labor intensive and expensive by racking up the hours it's being worked on. My son has a 91 model, so this question came up when I talked to him last. I haven't looked under it myself, so I don't know what's involved with the cross member and front end parts, but I do know with the computer and sensor wire harnesses, along with the many vacuum lines I'm sure it has that have to be numbered for reinstallation, it's going to be quite a job. Then when you get it out, it has to be taken apart from the engine where it meets at the flexplate. Then, of course, the transaxle reparation. I'm just conveying what I was told, but it sounds like a job I wouldn't want to tackle myself. This info pertains to a 91 model. The newer 95 might be simpler, but I doubt it. Good luck with this.
You can remove the transmission without removing the motor. All you have to do is support the motor while you disconnect the transmission. You still have to remove the k frame, but will save a lot of time by not removing the motor.
Can a 72 Oldsmobile 455 and the Oldsmobile transmission fit into a 68 Pontiac tempest?
Yes, but you must use the olds motor mounts. They are a 2-piece unit. The half that bolts to the block can be purchased new. the half that bolts to the frame is a little more difficult to find. Retain these from the donor vehicle if possible. If the engine/transmission is from a larger vehicle (i.e delta 88, or 98) the TH400 tranny will likely be a long tailshaft version. this will require that the driveshaft be shortened and/or the crossmember relocated. Make sure the motor mounts on the block are attached at the middle location, not towards the front. All GM A-body cars from 1968-72 share the same chassis and firewall location, so any motor from any GM division of the era will fit. I highly recommend you upgrade to a 4 core radiator and heavier 'big block' coil springs in front.

How do you replace the starter on a 1988 Olds Cutlass Ciera 3.8 v6?
The starter is located in the front center above the axle.
1. The first thing you want to do is disconnect the negative battery cable so nothing will short. 2. If its easier then raise the front end up on jack stands and then remove the dust cover if it has one. 3. When under the car disconnect the battery cable and the solenoid wire. 4. Remove the bolts that hold it in place. 5. Remove the starter and take note the location of the shims. 6. And just do the opposite of removal to put in the new starter. The new starter will come with new shims. Put the new shim(s) in exactly the same place. Otherwise you will get a screech noise each time it starts but may go away.

I've got a '92 skylark, and had a problem with the brake lights staying on even after the car was off. There is an adjustment that is connected to the brake pedal that you can adjust the tension on. It's kind of a pain to get up under there unless you're skinny though.
