Jacked engine to release pressure.

There must be others as it has not loosened.

It is unclear below where the bracket stops.

Any ideas ?

According to my research, I have gathered that it would cost around $1,500. As far as workman go, I heard that Hetas.com has a installer look up. So you could find an installer based on where you live.

Replace fuel level sensor in side fuel tank well known problems for these.

A good dealer will let you see it and perhaps copy if for you if you ask. Mine did.

All of my 2002 Silhouette outside lights had small leaks when I purchased the van used. I did not notice this when I bought it but shortly after, my rear lights all went out. I had to replace the whole assembly including the covers. I have not had any problems in the 4 years since I did that. After talking to several mechanics, I understand that is very common in the Silhouettes. Hope this helps.

theres a few things it will do with any car not just your 3 olds, it may sound like you have marbles inside of a glass jar spinning around ... it may make a noise like a rewinding tape in the vcr... or if its doing it a lot it prolly isent your water pump it may be your tensioner.. which is about a $40 fix... the bareings go bad in those about every 3 years depending on how much you drive ... but if your water pump isent leaking and you arent having to refill your coolant weekly and your car isent overheating then it isent that most likely somthing elese - power steering, tensioner, belt?, alt. A/C <--$$$

Crawl under the car and look up at the exhaust system. You will see the converter.

Between the front exaust manifold and the radiator fan. ITS ALWAYS HOT IN THAT AREA SO WHERE GLOVES OR YOU WILL GET BURNT...

I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan with 103,XXX miles. We just paid $1,728 to have the transmission completely rebuilt. Our transmission started whining and shifting hard from time to time about a month ago. I first had the transmission fluid and filter changed, thinking the filter might be clogged. The van was whining only once or twice a week in the beginning, but soon started doing it more often. It mostly made the noise when we were driving around town making frequent stops and starts. After taking the transmission apart, the shop found the front bearing was wore and the overdrive clutch hub was shot. They put in a complete overhaul kit, new clutches, bearing kit, and a total of 5 or 6 updates to fix common factory problems with this transmission. The updates will supposedly make this transmission better than it was from the factory. Time will tell.

Auto Zone says it's located on the driver's side intake manifold. I've not found it yet on my 95. Maybe you will have better luck!, if so post a response please.

The firing order is 1,2,3,4,5,6. Front cylinders are 2,4,6 the rear 1,3,5 from left to right as you face the engine from the front.

Blown fuel pump fuse, or defective fuel pump relay. This is assuming all wiring is good.

First thing for any automobile - check the battery - may be dead.

The relays for the radiator cooling fans are located in the underhood fuse block. There should be a label on the underside of the fuse block cover, but I have included a link (below) to a site that shows the relays. You will have to scroll down a little bit, as that page shows all the fuse block diagrams in the van. I have checked and the layout for all of the 2001-2004 Ventures are the same.

No. The intake only deals with air and fuel

I just replaced a passenger side view mirror (power heated) on a 1999 Olds Silhouette. Here's how. First obtain the proper replacement mirror. Disconnecting the negative battery cable can prevent electric shock and damage to components due to sparks. I actually didn't do that though. Using a thin putty knife, or similar instrument, gently pry up the panel containing the power door lock and window switches. Carefully unplug the swithces from the panel. This may require the use of a small screwdriver to release the swithces from their clips. On this 99 Silhouette there is a 10mm bolt located in a recess below the door grip. Another 10mm bolt is located under the hole from which the switch panel was removed. Remove these 2 bolts. Using a door panel removal tool or flat blade screwdriver gently pry the door panel mounting clips loose to release the door panel. Watch where you are prying and you should be successful. Remove the door panel sliding it forward past the door handle. There is a plastic film (moisture barrier) held to the door by a black adhesive which should come loose with careful pulling on the plastic film at the upper front corner of the door. Peel back this film enough to find the mirror electrical plug. Unplug this connector. Remove 3 10mm nuts holding the mirror assembly to the door at the upper front of the door. Remove the damaged mirror. To assist in finding the new mirror wire plug, I fed a piece of string up through the hole from which the mirror plug was removed. Feed the new mirror wire and plug down through the hole from which it was removed. Set the new mirror in place and loosely attatch one of the 10mm nuts to hold in place. Find the mirror plug and attatch it to the plug from which the old one was removed. Align the mirror to its mounting and secure all 3 10mm nuts to hold the new mirror in place. Resecure the plastic film, I used the original adhesive still there. Place the door panel in position by pulling the door handle and feeding it through its respective hole. Align the door panel so the door clips are in position with their holes. Push the door panel at the clips to secure. Reintall the 10mm bolts removed above. Reattatch the door and window switches removed above. Enjoy your new mirror!

you have to pop the hood and look at the mounting brackets there is i believe 2 or 3 wing nuts on the top along the hood latch mount. take them off so your whole headlight casing comes out but make sure you do this slowly and pay attention because there are little holes that are guides for putting the mount back in. once you have done that then all you do is twist the black knob and the light pops out. all done. after that it is pretty easy. same system for the signal markers.

I found mine on the front center of the engine right by the exhaust manifold shield, it has a black protector cap to unscrew from it. You will need to use a long hose for reaching it from a freon can.

Bad temperature sensor? Plugged or restricted radiator? Water pump not circulating coolant? Thermostat not opening? System airbound?
