How do you poison a wild chicken?
A couple of important points:
First, depending upon the species, the "wild chicken" you are trying to poison may be protected under the Endangered Species Act of the United States or a similar statute in your country. Poisoning or otherwise deliberately trying to or succeeding in killing these animals may be punishable with punitive fines, imprisonment or both.
Second, poison is poison and you can't control what eats it in the wild. Just because you put out a poison for a rat (for example) doesn't mean a raccoon or your neighbor's dog wouldn't eat it either. As the person setting the poison, you are responsible for any deaths that are caused by it, intentional or not.
Third, this is a really crude and ineffective method of dealing with stray chickens. You have to hope they eat the poison, that they eat enough to die from it and that it actually works on them (birds are typically not equivalent to mammals in terms of poison).
My suggestion would be to contact animal control and notify them of destructive animals in your area. It is their responsibility to take care of this problem, be it trapping or baiting for them. Also, if these chickens are domestic chickens that are running free from your neighbor, you may have a claim of vandalism or destruction of property for what they are doing to your property, the same as if a neighbor's dog dug up your rose bushes. You simply have to be able to show the damage was clearly done by the neighbor's animals.
How do insecticides inhibit cholinesterase?
Electrical switching centers, called 'synapses' are found throughout the nervous systems of humans, other vertebrates, and insects. Muscles, glands, and nerve fibers called 'neurons' are stimulated or inhibited by the constant firing of signals across these synapses. Stimulating signals are usually carried by a chemical called 'acetylcholine' (a-see-till-ko-leen). Stimulating signals are discontinued by a specific type of cholinesterase enzyme, acetylcholinesterase, which breaks down the acetylcholine. These important chemical reactions are usually going on all the time at a very fast rate, with acetylcholine causing stimulation and acetylcholinesterase ending the signal. If cholinesterase-affecting insecticides are present in the synapses, however, this situation is thrown out of balance. The presence of cholinesterase inhibiting chemicals prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine. Acetylcholine can then build up, causing a "jam" in the nervous system. Thus, when a person receives to great an exposure to cholinesterase inhibiting compounds, the body is unable to break down the acetylcholine

How do you use a muskrat colony trap?
Muskrat colony traps can be used in a couple of ways. The first is at the entrance of a bank den or a muskrat lodge. The colony trap is simply placed as close as possible to the entrance of the den or lodge. The doors to the trap only open in one direction allowing multiple animals in, but they cannot escape. Another way to use the trap is where you see underwater muskrat "runways". These will often be a clear underwater path that muskrats frequently travel. These areas will usually be slightly lower than the surrounding area and usually free of debris if they have been used recently. Again the trap is just placed on the underwater path and the muskrats will enter it. Bait is generally not used in this type of trap. The trap works because the muskrat tends to follow the same path even if there is an obstruction in the way.

How do you get rid of mothball smell?
I think if you put some lilac where the smell is, it might take it out. But I'm not sure. Actually, there are several good ways to remove the odor. First and least expensive, if available to you, hang your clothes outside in the sun and air to "air out" for at least a day. Maybe more if they have been in storage a long time. Second, place clothing in a trash bag with several dryer sheets overnight to take out odor. Third, you can place clothing in closed trunk with charcoal briquets to remove the odor, this is hazardous because of the transfer of oils and is not widely recommended. If you don't like these methods there are deodorizers on the market you could purchase. Be aware not to dry these items in a dryer with heat until the odor is removed or it will SET the odor making it almost impossible to remove. Also DO NOT iron, or use STEAM as this will also SET the odor. Wait until items are deodorized using one of the above methods.

Dislodging, solarizing, and spraying are ways to control ivy. The perennial vine in question is shallow-rooted and therefore responds well to manual or mechanical removal as long as all fibrous root crowns and trailing stems get dislodged and disposed of. Spraying with select pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides such as those with the respectively active ingredients dichlobenil and glyphosate give respectively excellent and good results.
