How to change heater motor Peugeot 306?

The heater motor on the Peugeot 306 is under the glove box, in the passenger footwell.

First, remove the sound proofing panel, this clips off. Inside you will see the fan assembly is offset towards the left side (towards the passenger door hinge). There are 3 screws which need to be remove, 2 of which are towards the front, near the 3 pin electrical block which supplied power to the heater blower motor.

Unscrew the 3 screws after removing the electrical connector. A sharp tug downwards will free the motor itself, and a little twisting and turning will remove it. You should be able to do this in about 10-20 minutes usually.

Replacing is simply the reverse of this. I would suggest that any replacement motor is tested before you fit it in, it takes only a few seconds to test and will save you time.

How do you fit a new washer pump in a Peugeot 406?

I have just fitted a new washer pump to my 406 estate. The washer bottle is in the front right wing, you need to take off the front right wheel, remove the wheel arch liner (I had 4 torq screws to remove- T20 I think, one of which was under the front bumper/fairing). I couldn't find a bottle bung to empty the bottle (haynes reckons there is one), but it soon emptied once I pulled the pump off!!. Disconnect the hoses and replace with a new pump and fitting is the reverse of the above. Good luck

Where is the washer fuse on a Peugeot 307?

the fuse is 10amp red fuse found in the fuse box at the top right hand side of your engine under a cover that just pulls off

Thanks for that - can I just add the following:

In my model, it's the front right 10A (red) fuse as you stand in front of the car and look at it. I did the classic - tried to use the washer while it was still frozen. Why has my wipe washer stopped working? Will I need a new motor? No - a 1p fuse is all you need.

When do you need to change the timing belt on a peugeot 307 tdi 2002?

I work in a spare part shop, and most of the belts we sell are designed for 80000km. Since the manufacturer can't be responsible about what happens during the belt use (especially, drops of oil or coolant fluid), we recommend to change them every 60000km, to better be safe than sorry.

The original factory-fitted belt is designed for 120000km, but I'd not risk running it for that long.

Also, when buying a new car, we always recommend replacing the belt as you can neevr be sure how it was fitted and under what conditions the car was used. Changing the belt also usually involves changing tensioner pulleys or idlers (or both).

How easy is it to change glow plugs on peugeot 307 2.0 diesel HDI D Turbo?

Just changed my glow plugs. Quite easy you need an 8mm and 10mm deep socket. Take off the cover by removing the 4 location clips. There is a braket on the left hand side that is removed by taking the 3 10mm bolts out. there is a cable tray that you also need to remove attached to the bracket by the 10mm securing nut. Unplug the two electrical plugs on the left. You then have enough room to remove the cable 8mm nuts and then with the deep 10mm you can remove the glow plugs. Took me about hour and a half and I wasn't rushing.

If wheel bolt lost on Peugeot 307cc can i change the trye?

if you have lost the locking wheel nut key to remove the locking wheel nut then you can still remove the nut by getting a socket that is a tight fit on the nut and hammering it onto the locking wheel nut then it will undo. i worked in a garage for a few years and everytime a car came in with your problem that's how we solved it.

AdditionMost breakdown patrols and breakdown garages carry special tools for the removal of locking wheel nuts

How do you replace glove box peugeot 307?

First of all, rove the fabric trim under the glove box. This is held in with pull out plastic studs. Beneath this are three torx head screws running along the bottom edge that you have just exposed. Remove these. Then open the glove box lid and you will see four torx head screws. Two at the top and two half way down on each side. emove these. The box should then pull straight outwards. However, there is an elctrical connector attached to the interior glove box light on the right hand side. You have to remove this as well before the Glove box is free. There is a little clip you need to push on the outside edge of the connector before it will come free. Be careful because it is a stubborn one that!
