To replace glow plugs on a Peugeot 405 turbo diesel, remove the connecting wire. Take off the 8 mm nut, followed by the 10 mm deep socket. Remove the old plugs and replace with new.
the timing marks are on the top of the gearbox, near the engine, under a small cover or grommet. MICK [THEY ARE ON THE THE FLYWHEEL?]NEAR THE "TEETH"
The Haynes manual I have doesn't mention any need to re check. As the bolts are "angle tightened" I would have thought it unlikely that they would require a check.
it's behind the termostatic cap it's a brown bulb
yes you can im putting a 2.0 8v turbo from a 406 in a 405. wat you wanting to put in?
depends how well the engine has been looked after - ie regular servicing. I had an ex taxi which had done over 450,000 miles and still going strong when i sold it.
You have a bleed screew in the top hose from the radiator undo it slightly to let the air out.Once bleed retighten the screw.
Peugeot quoted $1050:00 ; local radiator place quoted $480:00; I managed to find one at the wreckers for $150:00..........it was a mongrel to fit however!!!
Took me a while to find it! It's located right next to the pollen filter, under the bonnet, its one of the two green relays present there, one if for the headlights and the other is for the 'driving lights' (not the full beam lights).
A flashing egg-shaped symbol at the lower half of the Peugeot 405 instrument panel means water in fuel filter.
remove the cover to the cockpit filter there is a small box on the right hand side of it [as you look into the engine bay from the front] the relays controlling the lights and heater fan are in there
Under bonnet front nearside there is a key lock switch but you need the key.... I have the same problem and I am going to just cut the wire and short hopefully the right ones to restart the electric dianostic process. Any bright ideas? Paul H
Well, in my experience, it's very difficult as there is so little room. there are 2 wire clips to release, but then these get in to road when trying to raise the radiator. to make more room it seems necessary to dis-assemble the front lights and loosen the bracing that holds the A/C fans. even then, we had to pull of the front bodywork to get it out. getting the repalacement into position is just as difficult. for an experienced mechanic, it takes about 4 houre all up = $280 + cost of replacement. By the way, we have had the car 15 years, in Adelaide, where Holden/Ford radiators & water pumps are lucky to last 5 years, no kidding, so I suppopose we can't complain.
