Is there access panel in floor of a 97 firebird trans am for fuel pump replacement?
Unfortunately, no. You will need to remove the fuel tank to replace it. You can probably however "make" an access door. Simple locate on the trunk floor exactly where the pump would be under the trunk pan and carefully after insuring there are no fuel leaks and there is adequate clearance between the trunk pan and tank cut it out with a cutoff wheel or sawzall. You would then replace the pump by removing the lock ring on the tank, plugs and hoses and lifting it out. Then make yourself a door out of medium gauge steel and rivet or sheetmetal screw it back in place. I have done this on a couple camaros. This is why I say probably because they are both F body cars and should be the same.
Search thridgen.org for info and even a template w/specs on making an access door.

How do you replace refrigerant in a 1999 firebird?
Buy a kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts comes with instructions Its really easy . Go to auto store and ask what the capacity of your vehicle is . Get all in one oil , freon (R134) o ring conditioner with an applicator . It will be about 20 to 25 dollars . Look under your hood for the LOW PRESSURE SIDE ! DO NOT USE THE HIGH ! The nozzle shouldn't fit the high for your safety . IThis will be one of the main lines coming off your ac compressor . Start your car with you AC on FULL blast ! Shake your freon , put the applicator on the nipple turn the can upside down and apply . I would get one with a gauge so you dont overfill !

Not seeing which switches you are talking about.....whether factory or something installed aftermarket....I'd have to say that one is for the rear window defrost and the other is for an option for the stereo. Bass boost or something to that effect.
How do you install a ignition switch on a 1980 Pontiac firebird?
You need two special tools to do this repair...A steering wheel puller and a lock plate depresser.
First, if your car has a padded 3-spoke type steering wheel, locate the screws (one at each spoke) on the back side of each spoke and remove them. Carefully pull the trim pad off and then find the wire that is plugged into the center of the column from the trim pad. Push in and twist the wire free of the column and be careful as a small plastic piece and a little spring will come out too.
Make sure the steering wheel is in the position of the car being driven straight ahead and then use the steering wheel puller to remove the wheel. Do not turn the wheel in either direction while removing it.
Next remove the round black plastic cover that has a couple of screws holding it in place.
Next attach the lock plate depresser and push the column lock plate down about 1/4 of an incch and then remove the slotted ring that is around the column that was holding the lock plate in place.
Next release the lock plate and remove it. You will see a black Phillips head OR torx head screw at about the 2 o clock position in the column which will appear to be screwed into the ignition lock. Remove that screw and the ignition lock cylinder will slide right out.
