Do you need to change the oil in the supercharger everytime you change the engine oil?

Normally, the supercharger will pull oil from the engines oil pan meaning that when you change the engine oil it also changes the oil in the S/C. However, the supercharger may have either its own reservoir or have an independent drain of its own.

Due to the high temperatures this part may incur, I recommend a change when you change the engine oil sense the part is so expensive to replace and it has such strain placed on it.

Your horn doesn't work on a grand prix?

Check the fuse, and all connections to the horn. If you find nothing wrong, then apply 12 volts directly to the horn. If it blows the horn is good, and the horn switch may be bad. If it does not blow, visit your local salvage yard for a used horn. dont think the fuse in the fuse panel is the only one for the horn... in the relay center under the hood there is a horn fuse as well, that was where mine was blown. good luck

How do you reset the 'low tire pressure' warning light on a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix?

I have a 2007 Silverado and there is an option on your dash as you go through the odometer, trip functions that offers to "Relearn tire pressure." When you get it to that point you need to hold the reset button in. The same button that you use to reset your trip meter. That's on a Silverado which is also a GM product. I'm not sure if it will help but it's worth a try.

What is the problem with a squealing noise coming from the rear left side tire?

First check to see if your brakes are worn. If your brakes are ok see if there's a metal dust cover behind your wheel; they can become deformed and rub against your rotor or small pebbles can get caught in them. If neither of these is the problem, lift the rear of your car ( put the rear up on jack stands and chalk the front tires so the vehicle doesn't roll ) and put the vehicle in nuetral. Rotate your rear left tire by hand and listen/feel for grinding or resistance to turning that would indicate a bad wheel bearing.

How to replace hub bearings on 2000 Pontiac Grand AM?

some hub bearing are one complete assembly if not remove rotor from car bearing should be in rotor or hub meaning drum for back brakes the bearing is inside the middle of the rotor there should be a seal that holds it in place look for the edge of that seal and tap under the edge of that seal until... IN REPLACING THE NEW SEAL YOU MUST clean all the grease from the hub to ensure there s no old grease left at least much as possible, then pack the hub with new grease besure not to get grits in to the grease. grits and grease don t mix, then dip the bearing into the grease to ensure that it s fully greased then replace the bearing in the hub and tap on the new hub evenlly or it will not go in right after that your on your way to reassembling the hub to the car.... ENJOY

These are a complete hub assembly. They require no packing grease. Remove wheel, brake calapier, calapier bracket, brake rotor, remove the outer tie rod from the knuckle, remove the half saft from the hub( 36mm ) nut. 3 or 4 bolts hold this hub in place. All steps may not be listed, but get'er done. If you are not mechanically inclined do not attempt this.

Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 2001 grand prix?

Ther are two located on the 3.8 One is located at the top of the downpipe. Look down from the drivers side behind the tranny dipstick, it is sitting right on top just before the bolt on bracket for the downpipe. It's right next to the spark plug in the back, on the drivers side. If you change your spark plugs, you can't miss it. The other one is located at the "U" bend adjacent to the catylitic converter. Stick with an factory O2 sensor. Bosch dont seem to last very long with this engine for some reason. Also this item should be covered under the emissions warranty (which is 5 to 7 years). If so, have the dealer trace the problem. Hope this helps. "G"

# Remove the cover that surrounds the HUD unit # Remove the portion of the dash closest to the windshield. Be caredfull with the foam rubber seal. # Remove the screws that go down into the HUD unit using a very short screw driver # The final screw comes into the top of the HUD unit. You'll have to remove the speedometer to get to it. (I left this one out when I reassembled everything just in case I ever need to open in up again)

06 Grand Prix -- What is the secret to compressing the rear calipers The C clamp will not do it what gives?

The rear calipers are not just compressed, there is a special tool you need. What this tool does, is it allows you to tighten the piston back. Its actually is threaded, so instead of just pushing it back in, you must screw it back in. I think Autozone loans this tool out w/ a deposit, or you can buy a socket adapter for around 10 bucks.
