There are three headlight relays that control the operation of the headlight motors. One controls the other two. If one headlight is not raising/lowering properly, the corresponding relay is located to the front of each fender. Thesehave part # 10041733 on them. If both are not functioning properly, the relay, Part # 10022620, is located on the backside of the radiator support, on the passenger side, just in front of the air cleaner on my 1986 305 tpi trans am. The old part # for this relay was 10038949.

If you're talking about paying someone to do it.....it can be costly. It's a difficult and time consuming job. Just depends on what area you're in, who you have do it...etc.

It's just above the center of the valve cover on the driver side.

I heard that the car is still in Philly in a garage somewhere. Also, the garbage can that was hit is also with it. The scrape is still on the car. Sorry, don't know where or who owns it.

I know where one is! It used to be in a garage in Philly. I still own it, and it now resides in NJ.

The car is in philly it still has a scrape on it from garbage cans...he does not have the garbage can...it has black interior with a am/fm eight track in it....lol...he thinks there were three one is in california then my friend got this one..dont know about other one...it also is the only one with oldsmobile motor in it...others had pontiac motors...dont know why ...he was not possitive if there was two or three cars in the movie THIS IS FACTS ABOUT THE CAR....IT IS COOL TO SEE

The TH350 was the standard tranny. I'm not sure if it could even be ordered with a 4 speed and the 403 engine. In 79 every Pontiac equipped T/A was a 4 speed. But I'm not sure if the 4 speed was available with the 403.

Looks like you will be getting a new tranny.

In the transmission tail housing where the speedo gear would be in an older version.

There is absolutely no way that the trans am came from the factory with 50-series tires. Probably a 246/60r16

Unfortunately, no. In order to get them to fit you have to replace the tail panel. It's a completely different design.

It should be below the driver's side grille in the turn signal area. A 1976 trans am hood release is under the hood in the grill area that is between the headlights. It is on the drivers side. It is just right(if your facing the car) of the small firebird emblem(unless its been removed). Or, simplified. Its is on the far left of the right grill(on the top underside)

There are more automatics made than manuals.

Replace the ignition cylinder wich should come with a new key and it will fix the problem.

Funny I just did this to my 95 Firebird, Take out the glovebox and the stuff under it and you should be able to reach the Firewall from there, just drill your hole there.
