What happened between the Muslims and the Meccans?
Pro-Muslim View
Muslims in the early beginning of Islam were tortures, deprived from their human rights, lost their properties, ... etc. However, when they succeeded to get Makkah (or Mecca) they had forgiven all the Makkans (or Meccans) and didn't get back their own properties. They only removed all the statues of worship that were put around Kaabah and left back to Medina (or AlMadinah).
Pro-Meccan View
Mecca was known prior to Muhammad as a religiously pluralistic community with numerous types of religions, such as Jews, Christians, Hubalists, Rahmanists, and others. Part of this pluralism was a respect of different faiths. When Muhammad initially preached the Tawhid, the unity of God, as the basis of Islam, the Meccans had no issue with him. When Muhammad demanded that the idols in the Kaaba be smashed, which would violate this principle of religious pluralism, Meccan leaders plotted to assassinate Muhammad to prevent the much larger social outcry if some of those idols were destroyed.
Muhammad and the nascent Muslim community fled to Yethrib, which they renamed Medina. Unlike Mecca, which was a commercial center, life in Medina was poor and less exciting. With a bitter taste in his mouth due to his experience in Mecca, Muhammad began the ghazzawat (غزوات) which were raids made by Muslims on caravans heading to or departing from Mecca in order to loot their goods and kill their owners. After over 27 distinct ghazzawat, the Meccans sent an emissary begging Muhammad to cease killing and stealing from the innocent merchants. Muhammad would not back down, forcing Mecca to launch an offensive war to subdue Medina and protect their merchants.
There were nearly five years of war, which the Meccans eventually lost due to Muslim resilience and better battle tactics. This led to the surrender of Mecca. Included with this surrender was Muhammad's banning of all of the previously acceptable religions except Judaism and Christianity, which would be repressed, and the destruction of all of the idols in the Kaaba.

How does Muhammad's teaching affect trade in Mecca?
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) tought us an honest trading. For example there was a rule in makkah that if you've touched an item you have to buy it. Refer to the biographies of Muhammad peace be upon him.

Why the Arabs didn't like Muhammad's teachings?
because they did not like the concept of only one GOD
It is not true to say that the Arabs didn't like the teachings of Islam. Many of the wise Arabs embraced Islam. It was the chiefs like Abu Jahl, Rabbia, Utba, Sheeba, Abu Lahb and a few others who resisted. It was because their authority was being challenged. But within two decades the Arabs not only accepted Islam, they fought for the cause of Islam and even laid their lives for it.

What was the relation of Hazrad Umar with Hazrat Abu Baker?
They were very good friends. They shared the position as Muhammad's two closest advisers with no apparent jealousy. When Abu Bakr became caliph, Umar was his strongest supporter. They both understood that Umar was to be the second caliph after him.
What does the word Hijrah mean?
It means "flight" (as in fleeing), in the sense of moving or emigrating.
The capitalized form Hijrah or Hijra refers to the departure of the prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina (622 AD) to avoid persecution in his teaching of Islam. Two years later, he and his followers defeated Meccan forces at the Battle of Badr.
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu's) real name was Abdullah, and he was given the title of "As Siddique" or"Testifier to the Truth." His father, 'Uthman, was known as Abu Quhafah and his mother, Salma, was known as Ummul Khair. He was two and a half years younger than Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
Abu Bakr (R.A.) the First Among Men to Enter Islam
Abu Bakr was always a very close Companion of the Holy Prophet, he knew him better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was. Such knowledge of the Prophet made Abu Bakr be the first man to follow the Message of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. He was indeed the first adult male to accept Islam.
The Holy Prophet told Abu Bakr what had happened at Mount Hira', he told him that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has revealed to him and made him His Messenger. When Abu Bakr heard this from the prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, he did not stop to think, he at once became a Muslim. He submitted to Islam with such determination that once the Holy Prophet himself remarked, "I called people to Islam, everybody thought over it, at least for a while, but this was not the case with Abu Bakr, the moment I put Islam before him, he accepted it without any hesitation". He was titled As-Siddiq by the Prophet because his faith was too strong to be shaken by anything.
In fact, Abu Bakr was more than a great believer, as soon as he became a Muslim, he immediately began to preach Islam to others. Among those who accepted Abu Bakr's invitation to Islam were; Uthman, Zubair, Talha, Abdul Rahman bin Auf, Saadi bin Waqqas and others who later became the pillars of Islam.
Abu Bakr's love of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam was so great that he was willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of protecting and comforting the Prophet saw. Such love and sacrifice were demonstrated when one day the Holy Prophet was saying his prayers in the Ka'ba, while some of the chiefs of Mecca were sitting in the court yard of the Ka'ba. Seeing the Prophet praying, 'Uqbah bin Abi Mu'eet took a long piece of cloths and put it around the Prophet's neck and twisted it hard in an attempt to strangle the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam to death. At that moment Abu Bakr happened to pass by from a distance, he saw 'Uqbah trying to strangle the Prophet to death. Immediately Abu Bakr ran to the help of the Prophet, he pushed 'Uqbah aside and took the cloth from around the Prophet's neck. Thereupon the enemies of Islâm came down upon Abu Bakr and beat him unnerafully, although Abu Bakr with faith like a rock did not care for his own suffering, he was glad that he was able to save the Prophet of Allah, even at the risk of his own life.
Abu Bakr with the wealth he had, also had a major role in freeing some of the Muslim slaves, who were barbarically tortured by their heartless Mushrik masters to give up the Faith and return to their masters' beliefs. The heartless monsters tried all kinds of torture: they made them lie all naked on the burning desert sand, putting big stones on their chest, as well as other kinds of torture. Here Abu Bakr's wealth came to the rescue, as he bought the poor helpless slaves from their inhuman masters and set them free, Bilal Al-Habashi, the slave of Umayya bin Khalaf, was among those who were set free by Abu Bakr. Bilal became afterwards the Mu'azzin at the Prophet's mosque.
Does the Bible speak about Mohammed?
Some claim that Song of Solomon 5:16 mentions Muhammad by name but this is merely a myth spread by Islamic propagandists Ahmed Deedat and Zakir Naik.
The claim is that the phrase "altogether lovely" means Muhammad. The source of this claim is a false Latinised translation of the Hebrew, "חִכֹּו֙ ×žÖ·Ö½×žÖ°×ªÖ·×§Ö¼Ö´Ö”×™× ×•Ö°×›Ö»×œÖ¼Ö¹Ö–×• ×žÖ·×—Ö²×žÖ·×“Ö¼Ö´Ö‘×™× ×–Ö¶Ö¤×” דֹודִי֙ וְזֶ֣ה רֵעִ֔י ×‘Ö¼Ö°× Ö¹Ö–×•×ª יְרוּש×ָלִָֽ×׃". The word "machmad"(pronounced Makh Mawd) meaning - "delightful; hence, a delight, i.e. object of affection or desire -- beloved, desire, goodly, lovely, pleasant (thing)". Naik/Deedat/et al claims the above to be 'Muhammad' however this is incorrect from all examinations of the word and seems to have spread from his own inventive translation. (NB. Naik does not understand Hebrew).
Regarding the claim that Deut 33:2 is referring to the conquest of Mecca is another incorrect false and farfetched claim. Within the context of the chapter no such reference is made to the alleged events of the conquest of Mecca.
Isaiah 29:12 also does not mention Muhammad by name or description. As part of a juxtaposition metaphor and literate and illiterate man are compared and the verse in no way or form states that Muhammad in any figurative or literal sense would receive a revelation. This is another verse intentionally removed from a context to make a claim it does not. Daniel 12 for example takes note of these words in context.
Deuteronomy 18:18 states that the prophet will be from the Israelite people and not the Arabs and thus the prophecy does not speak of Muhammad. This is directly in conflict to the interpretation made by Dr Naik where he claims that coming from among the Israelites does not mean coming from among the Israelites which itself is a clear contradiction.
In conclusion, the claims of Muhammad's reference in the Bible is merely unscholarly propaganda spread by Islamic propagandists and those wanting to proselytize deceptively.
OpinionProphet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh WA Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."Translation:"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is Mohammad. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."
In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarly im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.
. DEUTERONOMY 33:2He (Muhummed pbuh) shined forth from mount Paran (in Arabia), and he came with ten thousand saints. (Referring to the conquest of Makkah). (d)
DEUTERONOMY 32:21:and I (God Almighty) will move them (the Jews) to jealousy with those (the Arabs) which are NOT A PEOPLE (a non-entity): I will provoke them (the Jews) to anger with a FOOLISH NATION," |the pre-Islamic Arabs)
Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesized in the book of Isaiah and is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."
Mohammad (PBUH) received his first revelation in the cave called HIRA which is located in Saudi Arabia, one day he was in the cave praising Almighty When Archangel Gabriel came to the cave and commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying IQRA- "Read", he replied "I am not learned"
The Prophesy of Mohammad (PBUH) in the Torah (Old Testament)
The Qur'an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospels"
Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.
However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses (pbuh):'Among their brethren' clearly refers to a nation other than the Israelites. Otherwise it should have been 'Amongst yourselves'. The reference in (Deuteronomy 18:18) could fit nobody else except Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and not Prophet Jesus, for the following reasons:
Do not forget that deuteronomy 18:18 is linked to deuteronomy 34:10
34:10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face
So if the prophet that is mentioned in deuteronomy 18:18 must be like Moses, it cannot be someone from the children of Israël . Because that is contredicting deuteronomy 34:10.
(World Religions from Ancient History to the Present, by Geoffrey Parrinder, p. 472)
God sent the angel Gabriel* to teach Muhammad* the exact words that he should repeat to the people. The words are therefore not his own; they did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the angel. These are written down in the Qur'an word for word exactly as they came from God.Now that we know that prophet we must listen to him, for, according to the Bible, God says: "I will punish anyone who refuses to obey him"
(Good News Bible, Deut. 18:19).
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is not prophesized in Christianity
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is not prophesized in Judaism
Muhammed pbuh did speak directly with God swt, just like Moses pbuh.
Proof: The mi'raaj + Isra (Night journey) that is mentioned in
Surah 17 verse 1 & 60, surah 53 verse 1 to 20,
In Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 608:
...Then Moses stopped him when the prayers had been reduced to five and said, "O Muhammad! By Allah, I tried to persuade my nation, Bani Israel to do less than this, but they could not do it and gave it up. However, your followers are weaker in body, heart, sight and hearing, so return to your Lord so that He may lighten your burden."
The Prophet turned towards Gabriel for advice and Gabriel did not disapprove of that. So he ascended with him for the fifth time. The Prophet said, "O Lord, my followers are weak in their bodies, hearts, hearing and constitution, so lighten our burden." On that the Irresistible(Allah) said, "O Muhammad!" the Prophet replied, "Labbaik and Sa'daik." Allah said, "The Word that comes from Me does not change, so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book." Allah added, "Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty (prayers) in the Mother of the Book (in reward) but you are to perform only five (in practice)."
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228:Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Regarding the Statement of Allah" "And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens) which We made you see (as an actual eye witness) was only made as a trial for the people." (17.60) Ibn Abbas added: The sights which Allah's Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ulMaqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself) .
So he did not dream the journey.
(I don't know why someone always deletes my answer(s) or changes it ... Is he afraid of the truth?)
Further, Deuteronomy 18:18 is linked to Deuteronomy 34:10.
Let's see what both verses say about Mohammed pbuh.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee(Moses), and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
ok, now let's see the other verse.
Deuteronomy chapter 34 is going about the dead of Moses as.
Deuteronomy 34:10 Since then(dead of Moses), no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face
So it must be a prophet from another nation, because God swt says that there will raise no prophet like Moses as in Israël, after his dead.
This Deuteronomy 34:10 is linked to Deuteronomy 32:21and I (God Almighty) will move them (the Jews) to jealousy with those (the Arabs) which are NOT A PEOPLE (a non-entity): I will provoke them (the Jews) to anger with a FOOLISH NATION," |the pre-Islamic Arabs)
So if we first read Deuteronomy 18:18, then 34:10 and then 32:21, you will understand why the prophet mentioned in deuteronomy 18:18 is Mohammed pbuh.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee(Moses), and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
" Since then(Moses's dead), no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face.""and I (God Almighty) will move them (the Jews) to jealousy with those (the Arabs) which are NOT A PEOPLE (a non-entity): I will provoke them (the Jews) to anger with a FOOLISH NATION," |the pre-Islamic Arabs)
Ps. about that "bretheren", it revers to the Arabs, since they also come forth from Abraham's (pbuh) seed.
Brother (or bretheren) does not have to mean a real brother, because it is usual in Hebrew (and Arabic) to say to someone: "hey brother" or "you are my brother (in faith)". or to say it to a cousin or someone from Libanon says to someone from Yemen: "brother". so brother has many meanings in Hebrew, and everybody knows that.
So you said, "bretheren means someone from his own nation (Jew).", I say: " Why could it then not mean someone from their brother nation(Arabs). Since bretheren has many meanings. "
And Mohammed's (pbuh) grandfathers are Ismaël and Abraham (pbut).

How can you resolve the Muhammad cartoon issue in Europe?
May Allah's peace be on all the humanity, The Qur'an depicts Jews and Christians as "People of the Book," meaning that they have their own scriptures bestowed upon them by Allah (Allah is simply the Arabic word for God, related to the Hebrew Elohim; we should see it as analogous to the German word Gott, the French Dieu, or the Spanish Dios. It's not the personal name of a deity within a pantheon, like Thor, Aphrodite or Siva.)
Muslim scripture counsels respect for these communities, and indeed, in the history of Islam, within Islamic societies Jews and Christians have fared FAR better than non-Christians in Christendom. Muslims ruled all or part of Spain from around 800 to the late 15th century, when Columbus' great patrons, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella "drove the Moors (Muslims) out of Spain," forced everybody to embrace Catholic Christianity (or be killed), and promoted the exquisite Christian tortures of the Inquisition. Under Muslim rule, Christian and Jewish communities generally flourished from Spain to Iraq. On the other hand, until recent times, Christian intolerance prevailed throughout Europe. But we need to know that of these people of the book, there are numerous of them who are righteous and God fearing.
In the Noble Qura'n, Allah says that
"O mankind! [this includes all races and all nations] We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well-acquainted. (The Noble Quran, 49:13)" "Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. (The Noble Quran, 3:113-3:114)" The best thing to do by the Muslims & persons of good will everywhere is TO DO NOT FALL FOR PROVOCATIONS. From Count Thurn's 1618 defenestration of Prague to Bismarck's Ems telegram in 1870 and most recent deceitful incidents we are all aware of, big and small wars have often grown out of staged provocations. Humanity must act now to neutralize war provocations, and thus to prevent the horrors of WAR AND HATRED.
IN CASES OF SUCH AN OFFENSE AS THE CARTOON ISSUE AND EVEN WORSE, THE BEST RESOLUTION IS FORGIVENESS ACCORDING TO THE MORALS OF ISLAM.
Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) said, ' Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind.' (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, ONENESS, UNIQUENESS OF ALLAH (TAWHEED), Volume 9, Book 93, Number 473)"
The Muslim needs to always be polite, humble, patient, loving and well mannered when he/she deals with others, whether Muslims or non-Muslims. Allah Almighty certainly doesn't love those who are offensive and rude to others.
One of the moral traits strongly recommended in the Qur'an is forgiveness: Hold to forgiveness, command what is right, and turn away from the ignorant. (Qur'an, 7: 199) In another verse Allah commands: "… They should rather pardon and overlook. Would you not love Allah to forgive you? Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Qur'an, 24:22) Those who do not abide by the moral values of the Qur'an find it very difficult to forgive others. Because, they are easily angered by any error committed. However, Allah has advised the faithful that forgiveness is more proper: The repayment of a bad action is one equivalent to it. But if someone pardons and puts things right, his reward is with Allah… (Qur'an, 42:40) …. But if you pardon and exonerate and forgive, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Qur'an, 64: 14) It has also been revealed in the Qur'an that forgiveness is a superior moral trait: "But if someone is steadfast and forgives, that is the most resolute course to follow." (Qur'an, 42:43) For that reason, believers are forgiving, compassionate and tolerant people who, as revealed in the Qur'an, "control their rage and pardon other people." (Qur'an, 3:134) Believers' notion of forgiveness is very different to that of those who do not live by the morals of the Qur'an. Even though many people may say they have forgiven someone who has offended them, it nevertheless takes a long time to free themselves of the hatred and anger in their hearts. Their behaviour tends to betray that anger. On the other hand, the forgiveness of believers is sincere. Because believers know that human beings are tried in this world, and learn by their mistakes, they are tolerant and compassionate. Moreover, believers are also capable of forgiveness even when they are in the right, and the other in the wrong. When forgiving, they make no distinction between large errors and small ones. Someone may cause severe losses to them by mistake. However, believers know that everything takes place under the command of Allah, and according to a specific destiny, and therefore, they surrender themselves to these developments, never acquiescing to anger. Allah Almighty in the Noble Quran commands us to return the evil that is done to us by others to not only with good, but with best! Let us look at Noble Verse 13:22 "Those who patiently persevere, seeking the countenance of their Lord; establish regular prayers; spend out of (the gifts) We have bestowed for their sustenance, secretly and openly; '''and turn off evil with good: for such there is the final attainment of the (Eternal) Home."''' Let us look at Noble Verse 23:96 "Repel evil with that which is best: We are Well-acquainted with the things they say." Let us look at Noble Verse 41:34 "Nor can goodness and evil be equal.'''Repel (evil) with that is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!."''' Let us look at Noble Verse 28:54 "Twice will they be given their reward, for that they have persevered, that they avert evil with good, and that they spend (in charity) out of what We have given them." Whether people speak evil of you, in your presence or behind your back, or they do evil to you in either of those ways, all is known to Allah Almighty. It is not for you to punish. Your best course is not to do evil in your turn, but to do what will best repel the evil. Two evils do not make a good. You do not return good for evil, for there is no equality or comparison between the two. You repel or destroy evil with something which is far better, just as an antidote is better than poison. You foil hatred with love. You repel ignorance with knowledge, folly and wickedness with the friendly message of Revelation. The man who was in bondage of sin, you not only liberate from sin, but make him your greatest friend and helper in the cause of Allah Almighty!. Such is the alchemy of the Word of Allah Almighty!. Your credit for returning evil with good and paying for charity is double. Also if you forgive and return the evil with good, then Allah Almighty will love you and reward you. No offensive name calling is allowed! And we do not look down on others! "O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. (The Noble Quran, 49:11)" Allah Almighty in the Noble Quran also commands the Muslims to be just and fair to everyone: "O ye who believe! Stand out firmly For justice, as witnesses To Allah, even as against Yourselves, or your parents, Or your kin, and whether It be (against) rich or poor: For Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (Of your hearts), lest ye Swerve, and if ye Distort (justice) or decline To do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted With all that ye do." (The Noble Quran, 4:135) "O ye who believe! Stand out firmly For Allah, as witnesses To fair dealing, and let not The hatred of others To you make you swerve To wrong and depart from Justice.Be just: that is Next to Piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted With all that ye do." (The Noble Quran, 5:8) "But if anyone earns A fault or a sin And throws it on to one That is innocent, He carries (on himself) (Both) a falsehood And a flagrant sin". (The Noble Quran, 4:112) "Allah commands justice, the doing Of good, and liberality to kith And kin, and He forbids All shameful deeds, and injustice And rebellion:He instructs you, That ye may receive admonition. " (The Noble Quran, 16:90) "...Help ye one another In righteousness and piety, But help ye not one another In sin and rancour: Fear Allah: for Allah Is strict in punishment. " (The Noble Quran, 5:2) ALLAH KNOWS BEST!!!,http://www.usislam.org/debate/challenging_ignorance_on_islam.htm http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/scientific_54.html http://www.answering-christianity.com/true_islamic_justice.htm

Answer 1
Asalam o Alaikum.
Firstly when referring to Muhammad (pbuh), you should always add 'pbuh (peace be upon him) or 's.a.w (sallallahu alihi wa alai wasalam' as signs of respects.:)
Now answering your question, he (s.a.w) did face a lot of opposition during his lifetime. The major evidence of this is when he (s.a.w) went to Taif to preach the locals Islam, they pelted him with stones to the point that he (s.a.w) bled to his feet. They chased him out of the town, mocking and ridiculing him. But to his (s.a.w)'s greatness, he (s.a.w) forgave them all and prayed for them that Allah (s.w.t) guides them to the straight path.
His (s.a.w)'s prayer was fulfilled when after ten years, the whole of Taif had embraced Islam.
And secondly, the local Jewish Makkans wrote ridiculous poems about Muhammad (s.a.w) insulting him, his family and his religion. They also plotted to kill him but Muhammad (s.a.w) was told about this by Allah before they came searching for him and he (s.a.w) fled to Medina with his followers to seek shelter.
While he was living in Mecca, the locals banished his tribe and the followers of islam to the valley of Banu-Hashim. Where they stayed for 3 years eating leaves and grass.
So basically Muhammad (s.a.w) was tormented both physically and mentally by the locals, but after he had conquered Makkah (23 years after the first revelation) he (s.a.w) stood at the Ka-aba and forgave his bitterest enemies in public.
Answer 2
The only evidence proferred in Answer 1 is: (1) stone-pelting in Taif by non-believers, (2) Jewish Meccans who wrote unflattering poetry, and (3) the Hijra from Mecca to Medina.
There are much better indicators of Mohammed's difficulty of converting Jews, Christians, and Henotheist and Pagan Arabs, such as the following.
1) Meccan Ministry: During all fourteen years of his Meccan ministry, when Mohammed had no political power and could only sway people by argument, he had only 150 followers. Mecca was an incredibly diverse city with innumerable religious groups as well as unassociated monotheists called Hanifs. This should have been low-hanging fruit, but Mohammed only garnered resentment and stone-pelting.
2) Relations with Jews: Another indicator would be how nearly every Jewish tribe Mohammed tried to convince laughed in his face and asked him serious questions about his claims. The Islamic tales only retell the occasional story of the Jew who converts, but not of the several Jewish tribes that remained largely intact until Mohammed saw fit to slaughter or exile them from his territory. He was clearly unable to convince the majority of them.
3) Relations with the Christians of Najran: In 631 C.E. Mohammed held negotiations with the Christian community of Najran. He did not seem to convince any of them to become Muslims. In fact, Najran would not see its Christian community diminish in any way until Caliph Omar forcibly evicted them.
4) Ridda Wars: When Mohammed conquered Mecca in 630 C.E., many Arab tribes converted to Islam. However, when Mohammed died in 633 C.E., a number of these tribes "unconverted". In their view, their acceptance of Islam was a confederal pact, not an acceptance of a religion. Now that Mohammed was dead, the pact was over, since he did not leave proper successors. If Mohammed had actually convinced the tribes that his religion was proper, they never would have left. Caliph Abu Bakr was later "forced" to reconquer the "unconverted" tribes and make them realign towards Islam.
What was the controversy of the Muhammad cartoons?
In September 2005 a Danish paper called the Jyllands-Posten ("Jutland Post") did an article on Islam and political correctness. They invited 12 cartoonists to draw a depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.
One of the cartoonists evaded the question by drawing a schoolboy called Muhammad. The others depicted the Islamic prophet with varying degrees of offensiveness. Depictions of the prophet are not only forbidden in Sunni Islam (it's considered a form of idolatry), but also considered offensive. In Shi'a Islam they are generally tolerated. However, they too were offended by the content of the cartoons, especially one which depicted Muhammad with a bomb in his turban.
Where did Muhammad Ahmad rule?
If you mean Muhammad, the Prophet he ruled in Madina. Later he conquered Mecca and his rule spread to whole Arabia.
What occasion in islam is celebrated as eid?
Two main occasions:
This only becomes a problem if "according to the Bible" is anything other than a bibliographic reference. Many Christian denominations do not believe in the literal truth of the Bible. It is a series of writings written over a long period (somewhere over one thousand years) it contains History, hymnody, wise sayings, poetry, an account of the end of the world, cultural rules and lots more!! It was also collected together by human beings (at the Council of Nicae) and then fiddled with later (Council of Chalcedon and during the reformation). It has been translated with various degrees of care (See: Treacle Bible and others). Adam (Hebrew for man) and Eve (Hebrew for life) are allegorical figures for the creation of humanity aside from any cultural/religious objections to their breeding the resultant in breeding of the human race would have caused our extinction long since were we the product of this tiny gene pool. So don't worry we're not the products of generations of incest. The fact is man live hundreds of years but is wasn't until The law of God came from God to Moses and Then it was all spelled out from the ten commandments to even as to go and say not to lie with animals and the same sex . The first 5 books in the new testament explains this. But as the law is unto death the new law(Jesus) is unto life. For he was before the foundations of the world. Okay, I don't actually believe in the bible, but accorrding to it, we all descended from Adam and Eve, then Noah, so according to it, yes, we are all very distantly related. I don't think it matters though. We'd be so distantly related that it truly wouldn't matter. The whole thing is silly. Adam and Eve begat Cain and Able. Cain killed Able. The Cain was banished to the "City of Man" Meaning quite clearly that others were already around and in cities when this happened. Adam and Eve were children of God. The rest were children of Man. But then God Created Man at first with Adam. It's nonsense. Any attempt to make it as anything else is wishful thinking by the brainwashed population. The Bible is an indpired work no doubt. But it is not meant to be a history book. there was a point in time were the earth wasn't populated, God allowed the marrying of relatives for a period of time, then that ceases. No Remember that God had a flood wipe out the whole earth to get rid of the sin and start over. srry u are wrong. God did not wipe out the whole earth, Noah and his family got on an ark. REMBER!!? I believe the best answer might be, "This particular story is best used as an allagory", that is, a story to which one can draw other conclusions from. Factual conclusions are usually in peril in the Book of Genisis. (Catholic response) reply-- 1.Does the Bible present Adam simply as an allegorical character representing all early mankind? answer no-- Jude 14: ?The seventh one in line from Adam, Enoch, prophesied.? (Enoch was not the seventh in line from all early mankind.) Luke 3:23-38: ?Jesus himself, when he commenced his work, was about thirty years old, being the .?.?. son of David .?.?. son of Abraham .?.?. son of Adam.? (David and Abraham are well-known historical persons. So is it not reasonable to conclude that Adam was a real person?) Gen. 5:3: ?Adam lived on for a hundred and thirty years. Then he became father to a son in his likeness, in his image, and called his name Seth.? (Seth certainly was not fathered by all early men, nor did all early men father sons at 130 years of age.) 2.--If ?the first man Adam? was simply allegorical, what about ?the last Adam,? Jesus Christ? 1?Cor. 15:45,?47: ?It is even so written: ?The first man Adam became a living soul.? The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. The first man is out of the earth and made of dust; the second man is out of heaven.? (Thus denial that Adam was a real person who sinned against God implies doubt as to the identity of Jesus Christ. Such denial leads to rejection of the reason it was necessary for Jesus to give his life for mankind. Rejection of that means repudiation of the Christian faith.) 3.--How did Jesus himself view the Genesis account? Matt. 19:4,?5: ?[Jesus] said: ?Did you not read [at Genesis 1:27; 2:24] that he who created them [Adam and Eve] from the beginning made them male and female and said, ?For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh???? (Since Jesus believed the Genesis account to be factual, should we not believe it too?) The first boilogical thing you overlook is that none of Adam and Eve's many children were biologically closer than Eve was to Adam being created from his rib bone. It was Adam's sin against God that caused his condition to decline to the point of diing. Adam was not made defective he became defective by his sin (and passed these defects on to his children). Which is why it took him 930 years to die.By the time of Moses life expectancy was much storter than in the beginning. Biological defects were so prevalent that God pointed out in his Law a restriction on marriage or intimate involvement with close relatives. This was the start of the idea you've come to understand as incest Further, the marriage of relatives is not forbidden or particularly sinful according to the Bible. In fact, there are several examples of intermarriage and childbearing between close family members. In modern parlance, we discourage marriage between relatives any closer than second cousins because of the concern over inbreeding and genetic defects. Beyond that, there's no special reason to avoid marrying a distant relative--and whether you believe the Bible, evolution, or both, ultimately you have no choice! Whoever you marry is already related to you, however distantly. [Edited by: Iszi] As a matter of fact, incest is directly forbidden in the Bible. However, this is not declared until the Law is given to Moses, in Leviticus. Below are the majority (if not all) of the forbidden sexual acts, as stated in Leviticus 18:6-23, NIV.
Read Genesis chapter 6. The answer is very simple and does not require a huge explanation. In the beginning, God commanded Adam to be fruitful. In order to populate the earth at a time where only a few people were on the earth through Adam and Eve they would have HAD to sleep with brothers and sisters. This was not as filthy and was not considered incest at this time, it was required and necessary. When the earth began to increase in number God saw that man continued to do this even though the population was great enough to marry someone who was not a brother or sister. You have two parents who also have two parents and they both have parents. Already you have eight ancestors in just three generations. Carried back to Roman times (spoken of in the Bible I hear) over 2,000 years ago you will have more ancestors than people who have ever lived. So will everyone else have the same number of ancestors. That means that somewhere back whenever one of your ancestors will have had sex with some ancestor or other of everyone else. Ergo you are related to the whole of humankind even your spouse and are living in sin.
Answer: This is what I have to say. The law about marrying relatives came only in the time of Moses, therefore only in that time that it became a sin. God is the Maker of the Law and He is the Law itself. What He allows happens and what He forbids is a subject to judgment.
Answer I'm sure that the God who created all things has had it all worked out long ago.
As some have said here, we don't know how long God permitted that intra-familial marriages be conducted with His blessing, but they were, obviously, necessary in the early times.
What also must be remembered is that either the human body itself was 'superior' in those days OR the earth was in a more conducive state for thrival and long life, or BOTH, because we are told that those men lived for around 900 years in those days! This was the state of things right up until Noah's time. So there was clearly something regarding the condition of earth itself at that point that is just not familiar to our current state and therefore to current science, and humans were more able to thrive. Supporting these "thrival" and "different state of the earth" themes further, the Bible says that there were "giants in the land in those days". It also says that God changed things in the sky, by giving Noah and man, generally, a permanent sign in the skies, in the form of a "rainbow", which, in so saying, would deem it necessary that it had not previously appeared in the sky.
Current science cannot conceive of such things - certainly while it is limited to exploration of only 'the here and now'. Even anything found in the earth right now can only be interpreted from current understanding and present-day experience.
What country was Muhammad born in?
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s) was born in the modern day country of Saudi Arabia in Mecca.
