How with a detailed description are EM waves such as radio waves actually created?

When a source of energy causes the medium to vibrate. --------------- When an object experiences a change in its electric charge, the strength of its magnetic field also changes. These changes radiate outward. In the case of radio waves, the fluctuating changes are usually considered to occur at regular intervals and intensity, as in so many cycles per second, and with a certain level of strength at any given distance. The speed of the radiating effect is at the speed of light, and the strength diminishes exponentially as the distance increases. I.e., the strength of the fluctuation at one meter will be the strength of the fluctuation at two meters, squared. A unique example of this, in the form of a single pulse, is lightning. Lightning produces a single fluctuation, with its rate of change VARYING across the entire frequency spectrum, hence the color is generally a bluish white in the visible spectrum. The associated heat in the infra-red spectrum causes the surrounding air to expand at super-sonic speed, producing a sonic boom. In the frequency spectrum of radio waves, the pulse will produce a static noise click on your radio receiver, regardless of the frequency your receiver is tuned, as the pulse covers the entire energy spectrum. Multiple clicks may be heard, as caused by echoes from other objects struck by the initial pulse. There are multiple factors contributing to a lightning pulse, and in the case of storm clouds, a lightning discharge can happen at long distances, several miles away from the storm in fact. Some of the factors that determine when/where lightning might strike are now thought to originate out in space, in addition to proximity, conductivity and gravity on the surface.

The abbreviations FM and AM stands for amplitude modulation and frequency modulation. The reason why FM is more clearer than AM is because FM has a better signal-to-noise ratio than AM does.

I have 2001 Honda Accord EX V6 car. It has 6 CD changer. CDs were stuck in tht. I have removed the radio fuse and put it back. But now I am not seeing the CD player on the display at all.plz hlp?

Same happened to my Honda Accord 2001. I was able to remove library disks an hour ago by doing this:

1. Checked if I have a note of radio CODE in my Honda paperwork folder. If you don't have this code, you will have to keep your battery connected or you will not be able to turn your radio/CD on. I am not sure, but you may still have 30 minutes even you disconnect your battery to connect it back and get away without the CODE.

2. Disconnected battery (safer but may not be important)

3. Removed two black screws on the very bottom of the panel.

4. Removed plastic cover opening CD hardware.

5. Removed 4 screws that hold CD box (use wrench rather than screwdriver)

6. Pulled CD hardware from the compartment half-way

7. Removed two screws on the left and right side of the CD box cover

8. Removed the top cover exposing CDs.

9. Removed all CDs pushing them away through the CD extractor slot

10. Checked that CD player won't load or extract, and said farewell to it.

11. Put all screws and covers back in the reversed order.

12. Decided in the future to copy library audio books on a flesh drive and get $8 car player from Amazon that allows to listen to recorded files.

Good luck!

it might, it depends on the brand of the new radio and what plugs they use. if not, most good electronic stores sell adapters to join different brands if you dont want to strip and splice the wires by hand.

How do you electronically cut down on the range that an AM of FM receiver receives a signal.?

You may have difficulty doing that with both AM and FM because the antenna wavelenth is considerably out of range .Since you asked how to ELECTRONICALY cut down the signal...There are often trimmers on the tuning capacitor on AM and FM recievers that you could tweek but be careful because there are also frequency adjustments there as well . If you have an EXTERNAL antenna connections for AM & FM you can put attenuators on there , coaxial ones are available at R.S. but you can make one from resistors too. answer It may be a surprise to you but a simple voltage divider will reduce to any signal irregardless of signal length
