1999 Honda CR-V radio code?

Honda installed several different radios in CR-V's.First: look in your owner's manual. Just maybe, the selling dealer or a previous owner wrote it down in there somewhere. Second: you will need the radio's serial number. Some radios will display the serial number - when you turn it on if the display says "code" try pressing buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously, that might dispaly the radio serial number. If not, you will have to pull the radio case far enough out of the dashboard to see the plate containing the serial number either on the back or the underside of the radio. When you have the serial number, call or go to your local Honda Dealer and give them the serial number, they should be able to give you the code.

How do you get an ameteur radio license?

In the USA, the license is granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ...

just like every authorization to transmit radio, no matter for what purpose. In the case of

an amateur ("ham") license, the individual has to pass a test that covers topics in the rules

and regulations that relate to the Amateur Service, plus a few technical subjects.

There are enough magazines, books, tapes, sample tests, and publications of all kinds to

fill a small library, of materials designed to introduce you to Amateur Radio and help you

prepare for the test.

The best place to start is the website of the American Radio Relay League. It's been the

largest organization representing Amateur Radio for most of the 100 years that the hobby

has existed.

The link to the ARRL's website is in the "related links" attached to this answer.

Good luck.

How do signals travel from the transmitter to the radio receiver when theres no wires?

Light travels from the sun to your eyes with no wires. Heat travels from the fire

to your skin with no wires. A radio signal is exactly the same kind of thing as

heat and light. They're all called "electromagnetic radiation". Other examples

of the same thing are infrared, ultraviolet, and X-rays. The only difference

between all of them is their wavelength. They're made of electric and magnetic

fields, and none of them needs anything to carry it. They travel through empty

space with no trouble at all, without even any air in it.

2002 corsa trying to put code in radio but wont power up just saying safecan you please help thank you?

Just did this a week ago on my corsa. Firstly you will need the radio code.(You may be lucky and have the code written on you registration book or have gotten the code on a credit card type piece of paper when you bought the car). When you have the code turn on the ignition on the car until you get all the warning lights( engine oil, brakes etc) then turn on the radio whilst holding the "AS" button on the stereo. The display will change to "10 Code" (I think) with four blank spaces( - - - -) If your code is 8765 then you press the 1 button on the stereo 8 times, the 2 button 7 times,3 button 6 times and the 4 button 5 times. Then press and hold the "AS" button until you hear a beep and hey presto - music. If you put in the wrong code the display changes to " 9 SAFE". You now have 9 chances left to input the correct code and the radio locks for a little longer each time.(Believe me it is better to input the correct code first time). If you haven't got the code you have 2 options I. Bring it to your OPel/Vauxhall dealer with you registration book and they will charge you about £20 to get the code. 2.If you can get the radio out of its housing(there are little extractor wires you can buy in any motor factor for £2- £3), and the code may be written somewhere on the radio. Hope this helps

How do you remove the radio from a Honda CR-V?

http:/www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY/CRV_RADIO/crv_radio.htm In order to remove the radio you have to remove the entire center console. Remove the bottom change holder, remove the ash tray, pull off the plastic housing under the glove box and the steering column (just enough to see the screws/bolts holding the center console in). There is also a bolt behind the radio (reach up and behind) that has to be removed. The tray under the radio is attached to the radio mounting bracket.

I would seriously recommend a professional do this (not for amateur garage enthusiasts Open the storage box immediately below the radio and air vents (above the A/C controls). In the back of the box remove the small access door using 2 thin flathead screwdrivers inserted in the slots at the top of the access door. Remove the screw behind the access door with a Phillips screwdriver. Pulling gently on the box door, pop the entire box away from the console (there are 2 attachments on either side of the box that will pop free). Remove the 2 Phillips screws from underneath the air vents. Gently pry the entire casing from around the radio by pulling straight out on the air vents. The emergency flasher button is connected by a cord which can be unplugged. Unscrew the 4 Phillips screws holding the radio in place and pull the radio straight out and slightly up (there are bolt heads on the sides of the radio that must clear the plastic, so angle up slightly). The 2003 radio is very easy to access. The hardest part was popping off the plastic faces because I was worried about breaking off the box door and couldn't hold onto much when removing the vent panel, but an amateur could easily do this.

Where to find loacltion code Honda acord radio?

It is a 5 digit code. If you cannot find the code written down somewhere in the vehicle or owner's manual then you have but one choice. Go back to the selling dealer and hope they kept a record of the code. If not, you must get the serial # off the radio chassis. With that serial # the Honda dealer can tell you the code. You will have to remove the radio to see the serial #.

Why do you hear a clicking sound when you switch the radio on in a Mercedes 190e?

If it makes a clicking sound that means that the radio is catching static. OR If the noise comes from the area around the glove box, then you are hearing the climate control switchover valves trying to set the system to the ideal temperature, but it is having problems doing so because of a problem with the system. The problem can be anywhere in the system, but most likely a vacuum leak due to a leaky vacuum element. Or the feedback potentiometer is dirty, and is not providing a clear signal to the unit. Or the control unit itself is faulty, possibly due to a cracked circuit board due to years of driving. I have a web page set up to troubleshoot the complete 190 201 climate control system: http://cacavas.com/mb/TTM.html Good luck, John Cacavas Los Angeles jcacavas@gmail.com
