How do you release the spare wheel from underneath a Renault 19?
Look inside the boot and lift the carpet right by the back panel, you should see a small round screw which the end of your jack "winding arm" will fit into.Loosen this screw and look under the car, the tyre should have dropped somewhat ,lift the tyre back up and release the catch, the rack should drop to the floor and allow the tyre to slid out..
How do you reset the service indicator light on Renault Megane Scenic 2005 please?
anyone? If you mean the spanner symbol & message such as 'change oil soon' just scroll through your trip computer as you do when you zero your trip mileage when you fill up with petrol.(press top button of right hand stalk).Scroll through trip mileage/ averages etc until you get to the change oil message and then clear it the same way you clear your trip mileage by holding the button in until the message flashes & clears.
Lovely simple answer, but does not work on my 2004 Megane.
This also works with the 04 scenic. I had to keep the button pressed in until the "service after 18000 miles" message disappeared, not sure if this is the case with all models?- Bluerainbow

How do you reset the service interval on a Renault megane?
once the engine is running, press the information button until it says "service due", then keep the button pressed. "service due" will now flash, keep the button pressed, then the new "miles to next service" will be shown, release the button and it's now reset. hope this helps I tried this on an 05 megane and it did not work.In additon you must press a small button next to 150mph on the speedo until it blinks and cleers instead of keeping the button pressed. good luck
Diconnect the batttery and it wont matter. Car should be started once a month and idled through the gears if it is an automatic tranny Depends on battery self-discharge, outside temperatures and instruments such as clock that take current constantly. The baterry recharges about twenty minutes after each start to replenish the charge consumed in the starting. In general, it is not good to let the baterry discharde in unused car for longer than 3 months, that would require maybe a 3-5 hours recharge during car drive, but for a 1 month stand with only the clock being active you need about 30-40 minutes drive in mid to high RPM to recharge the battery. If you use the light it might take longer.
In case there is a light being lit in the trunk or storage compartment your battery will be completely discharded in a few days time.
Where can you find a Renault modus stereo wiring diagram?
It is unlikely that you will need a new engine but it will be an extensive overhaul I would expect. Almost certainly all the inlet and exhaust valves will need replacing which means having the cylinder head off. You will probably find some marking to the piston crowns but that is generally minor. Normally it is a fairly routine job to regrind the valves and re-assemble. The critical part is getting the timing right on everything when fitting a new cam belt. Also check the type of cam belt before replacing it as, depending on the age and model, the cam belt can have different shaped teeth - early models had rounded teeth, later ones square teeth and the belts are not interchangeable.
What are the cam belt settings for a 1.2 Renault Clio?
I assume you mean what is the correct tension on a Clio cam belt?
Using the twist method on the longest section of belt, it should twist between 30 and 45 degrees.
Too tight and it will whine, too lose and it will slap about.
I am writing this to try and improve the above answer. On my Clio 1.2 diet 8v the new cam belt when fitted with the adjuster fully backed off the belt would only twist about 45 degrees with moderate pressure on the section of belt Haynes suggested! ( between the water pump and the crankshaft pulley...) This was too lose! However hard I pushed it onto the belt it still only twist about 45 degrees (and this was now too tight as it whined on start up!..... so this method is too hit and miss. DO NOT RUN IT WITH THE AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT PULLEY REMOVED AS THIS PREVENTS THE BELT WALKING OFF THE SPROCKETS! ( I DID AND I ONLY JUST STOPPED THE ENGINE IN THE NICK OF TIME)
With the lock nut for the tension jockey wheel left loose push the wheel with you thumb upwards (it should be moving anticlockwise) so it is pressing onto the belt with only enough pressure to fully remove the slack. While holding it firmly against the belt lock off the nut too hold it in position. I found that if you grab the water pump and try and turn it if you cant get it to turn the belt is too taught. If it spins freely it a bit loose. If you can just get it too turn against the stationary belt its about right! I have to say however that I bricked it and purchased a facom dm.16 tension gauge and checked it was correctly tensioned. Ive heard to many horror stories with Renault and £64 pounds buys lots of piece of mind.
