Rodeo Events

In Spanish, rodeo means "round-up" and is also correlated to the time when a group of local cowhands and ranchers had a friendly competition of who could tame the wildest horse and ride the meanest bull. Today, it is a sport in the USA, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Mexico and South America, and includes events such as bull riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, team roping, bareback bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, wild cow milking, etc. Questions about rodeo and rodeo events can be asked and answered here.

How do you get the tire from under the 1999 Isuzu Rodeo?

there is a funny looking bar under your back seat that looks kinda like a square "S". One side goes inside the hole just between your bumper and bottomof the swing away door.Insert it and start turning away from you(towards the driver side) . And you will start to see the wheel begin to lower to the ground.Go all the way to the ground in order to flip the metal holder inside the tire up and out of the center of it. Then just slide out the tire.Reverse this process to roll it back up under the vehicle. Joe (St. Cloud,Fl)

How do you replace the alternator on a 2002 Ford Focus zx5 ztec?

Removing the axle is unecassary. You have to remove two one bolt out of the coolant overfill container pull itup a little and out of its retaining bracket. Move out of the way. Then do the same with the steering reservoir. Then the negative wire that is mounted to the bracket below the power steering reservoir needs to be taken off and the bracket slowly and gentlty bent downwards. Behind the steering reservoir there is a black plastic cylinderical case with wire harness on top.(not sure what the thing is called part of the ac unit) Take off the two bolts securing this and move to the side. Now if you havent already done so remove neg on battery put car on jacks and remove the drivebelt. The alternator has to sets of wires going to it on on the side and one on the back. remove both. Take out the two retaining mount bolts at the front of the alternator and you should now have proper clearance. Take care when lifting out. its a good idea to turn it side ways before lifting it out. Akright I hope that this answers the question and is not vague like the the first one. Remove the axle Huff* Dude you got to be a boob

What modern Western songs would be appropriate for a horse show or rodeo?

Play Old With the NewThere are some excellent country music songs that are more popular in the 1990s into the new millennium and you want something a little fast-paced to stir up the blood, but it's great to add a couple of good old country songs (fast-paced) that people haven't heard for awhile. AnswerWell I am a true Okie, born and raised in Oklahoma and its always been Garth Brooks, Alabama, and George Strait to name a few. Really it's up to the event organizer but good luck with that. prettypotts

Chris LeDoux is always a good choice for rodeos.

"Ponies" by John Denver!

"Crazy town"- by Jason Aldean (a great get up and go song :))

I agree with the true Okie. Don't discount the cowboy songs sung by Michael Martin Murphey. He has been keeping the old cowboy songs alive along with our nation's history.

Where is the oxygen sensor located on 2001 Isuzu Rodeo?

There are 4 of them on the 3.2L engine, I'm sure it's similar on the 2.2L. They are located on the exhaust pipes under the driver and passenger floor wells. You will need one down and one up on each side, I feel that the Bosch brand was the better sensor, I went through 2 of the cheaper (generic) ones in a few months.

The best way to get to them is to lift the truck and have a really skinny friend reach up there to remove them with a wrench, I'm not a a huge fat guy, but the oriental guy in our shop had to help me with these. LOL, so I will give credit to Wu for the help....

How do you replace the alternator on a 1996 Chevy S-10 2.2L?

Safety 1st. Engage parking brake and brace wheels. Disconnect the Neg. battery terminal. Label and disconnect the wires to alternator. From below and using the tire tool that came with the truck, release the belt tensioner by inserting the tool into the "slotted" opening and rotating ccw (counter-clock wise). Loosen and remove the alternator hold down bolts. Installation is in reverse order. Note: Partial information from Haynes Repair Manual, Chevrolet S-10 & GMC Sonoma, Haynes Publishing Group, #24071.

: : I just had to do this...not the toughest job I've ever tackled. : Start by removing the fan shroud (I didn't & it just made the task more difficult). Once the shroud is out of the way you'll have much more room to release the tensioner, using a 3/8" rachet, and removing the belt. Remove the top (13mm) bolt on the back (toward the fire wall), then remove the lower (10mm) bolt on the back. Then, while supporting the alternator, remove the front 10mm bolt. Rest the alternator on a frame member to remove the electrical leads...one snaps in and the other requires a 13mm socket. : Sidebar...1/4" rachet drives or "stubby" drives are helpful! : Installation really is the reverse of this! Connect the leads, put the front bolt then the back bolts in, and replace the belt! : Good Luck!!

Isuzu Rodeo transmission installation?

Get a Haynes guide. It is difficult, but do-able. I just did my '99 3.2L automatic 4x4 and saved about $1800 by doing it myself vs. a transmission shop. If you have access to a lift it would be much easier. I did mine on the ground on jack stands and it only took three tries before everything was working again. I recommend getting it done in one try, there's a lot less swearing and foul language that way.

How do you replace the alternator on a 1996 Saturn SL2?

I don't know if it would be the same way with an SL2, but I happen to have a 1996 Saturn SL1 that I replaced the alternator with and this is what I had to do to replace it.

First you have to get the car on a lift. Then, take off the passenger side front tire and then there is a plastic splash guard you have to remove to gain access to the alternator. In order to remove the alternator you have to take the tension off the pulley by releasing the serpentine belt. Then, remove the 3 bolts that mount the alternator. but before you remove any electrical connections to the alternator, disconnect the main negative of the battery to prevent shock or a power surge.

I have a 97 SL2 and I have done the alternator.

Everything he stated is correct. A few additional points.

The mounting bolts are very hard to see and you will need to rotate the pulley to get to all of them.

Once the alternator is free it needs to be removed through the wheel well. It won't appear to fit anywhere but it really does.

Additional points: I have changed alternators in SL2s about a dozen times now (much to my chagrin).

1. Before you even BEGIN disconnect your battery completely. You can cause serious damage to your alternator and car computer if you do not. Better to err on the side of caution you see. 2. The other safe thing to do is to remove the serpentine belt BEFORE you get the car on a lift device. 3. Next, raise the car on a lift so you can get underneath safely and easly. 4. Remove the passenger side front tire and splash guards. 5. Remove the electrical wiring from the alternator. 6. Remove the bolts on the alternator. (Taking care to have the alternator secured before removing the last bolt. 7. On many Sl2s upon removal of the last bolt, you may place your hand underneath it, and give it just about a quarter turn, and slowly slide it through an opening below the alternator that looks as though, and may feel as though it should never fit through. You can do this by giving it that quarter turn, and then sorta spiraling it through the opening in a slow and decisive manner.

Repeat these steps in reverse order to insert a new alternator.

The first time i did this it took me an hour, the second 1/2 hour, and there on out it only takes me about 15 minutes. Its a very simple process, almost as easy as changing your oil... the hardest part is undoing the bolts.

Be safe.

What is the definintion of a roping horse?

A roping horse has the job of running after the cow or steer keeping in the perfect position for the rider/riders to lasso the steer's horns. This can be done with a single horse/rider or 2 horse/rider teams known as team roping or more commonly 'heading and heeling'. With the 2 horse/rider teams, and the reason it's called 'heading and heeling' the steer comes out of the chute followed by the first horse/rider and then the delayed follow by the 2nd team. The first rider has to catch the horns (heading). Within a couple of seconds the 2nd rider has to rope at least one hind leg (heeling). The horses have to be as well trained as the ropers themselves and it is a difficult and demanding sport. But it is so much fun to watch. Like with most things, the horse/rider teams that are really good make it look easy.

Why are Brahman crossbreeds commonly used for bull riding?

It's likely because they are easier to train for bucking than other breeds are. Brahman cattle tend to be considerably smarter than European cattle, and thus getting them to "get it" in the rodeo circuit will take less time than it would for a Charolais or Angus bull to be able to buck.

It's also probably because they look meaner than the other breeds do, and tend to have a more interesting variation in colour patterns which make them really easy to recognize from the stands and from a bull rider's point of view.

How do you replace the alternator on a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo 4wd?

if its anything like a 1998 rodeo, unhook serpentine belt(1 pully wheel is adjustable),and radiator hose, down in bottom left of engine, remove 2 or 3 bolts, unhook ground wire, pull out alternator (this is tricky), after you get new alternator, there is 1 bolt that is very tricky to get back in, its helpful to wedge it with a large screw driver or something, then replace all bolts and ground wire (very important), replace hoses and belt, and you are good to go.

ADD ON; I have done a '98 as well and you don't have to disconnect the radiator hose and go thru the hassle with that. Once unbolted, the alternator can be removed (under the car, not up and out the top) and can be snaked around the radiator hose.

CORRECTION: you must remove the coolant transfer pipe( Radiator Hose) as to be sure not to break this very fragile(expensive) part off of the 2.2l four cyc. the 3.2l is made by Isuzu and 2.2l is made by GM very different engines
