undo the screws, there's one at the base on the back (side of the connectors). you'll need a long socket wrench connector On mine there was rectangular box in front of the battery that slides up off a metal plate that is secured by the same bolt holding down the front of the battery. Once you slide off the rectangular box, the bolt is more easily accessible.

Nope, unfortunately on that vehicle you cannot bypass the a/c compressor pulley and run a shorter belt because it will hit the water pump...........

There is no switch. If the wipers park in the middle or at the top of the winshield you need to replace the motor. the fault is in the logic

Saturn was manufactured by General Motors. General Motors stopped manufacturing Saturn's last year as a part of their economic plan to keep the company going. That's unfortunate too, because Saturn's were perhaps the best small American car on the market.

In general, hard starting, poor performance, DTC code P0300 may pop up.

According to familycars.com's Saturn road test a 2001 gets 25 mpg in city and 33 mpg on highway

it's in your ownwers manual, or if you don't have that you can get a repair manual from Autozone.

Friction makes brakes get hot. Whenever you step on the brake pedal, the kinetic energy of the vehicle is converted to heat energy to stop the vehicle.

Having said that, the brakes can run a little hot if the calipers are not fully releasing and the rear brakes can overheat if you fail to release the parking brake.

It's extremely rare that the master cylinder doesn't fully release the brakes.

Standing in front of the car its at the lower lefthand corner of the radiator. Its looks like a plastic wing nut. It is actually a threaded plug on the side of the rad tank facing out towards the fender. That drains the rad. To drain the engine there is a plug above the right drive axle(pass side) on the bottom of the water pump 13mm bolt......

There are 3 parts to an actual tie rod the sleeve and the inner and outer tie rods. Usually anywhere between 30 and 50 bucks would be enough 4 parts for one side.

It would be in the glove box or trunk.

carquest oil filter 85348 fits a 2006 Toyota tacoma 6 cylinder

There are a TON of vehicles that take that filter, including Harleys and heavy equipment! (The 51348 is the WIX part number that corresponds to the Carquest 85348)

This can be found directly behind the battery. the fuse box will have a red power tap terminal on it's side. The cover is labeled FUSES on the top. The cover has tabs on the short ends and just lifts off, this is also where the Oil Change reset button is located, along with the power relays.

Put your fingers into the leather shifter boot at the base and feel under the rim to pop the outside ring that holds the faux wood trim at the base of the boot up and out. (The piece is faux wood on an LS2, it may just be colored plastic on an LS1) You may need to do this twice, on each side of the boot, so that the entire piece of trim and the boot pops up and out. The leather boot should still be connected to the trim, it will pop out as a unit. Once it is out, you can reach into the housing and feel the window switch unit from inside the housing. There is a spring clip on the upper and lower ends of the switch unit, press in the spring clip and pop it up one end at a time. The unit is now out but still attached to the power. I have never unclipped the wire harness but it looks easily doable. IF YOU ARE REMOVING THIS BECAUSE THE SWITCH IS STICKY you probably DON'T need a new switch - you can spray some contact cleaner in the ports at the side of the unit and underneath the switch, this will probably fix your problem, at least if you have ever spilled a soda anywhere near the switch.

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON. The vehicle should start and then immediately stall.

The SECURITY light should come on. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn off.

Turn OFF the ignition and wait 5 seconds. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the security system on the 4th attempt to start the engine.

If a timing chain breaks the valves will no longer be synchronized with the pistons, meaning that one or more valves will be open when a piston reaches the top of its stroke. When that happens, we all know that two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time, so either he piston will break the valve or the valve will shatter the piston.

In short, a broken timing chain generally assures instant destruction of the engine; the extent of the destruction is not always the same, depending on several factors.

HOWEVER...

It should be noted that the timing chain on the 4 Saturn cylinder engines seldom fails. While a timing chain should be replaced when the engine is rebuilt, it is not considered necessary to replace the timing chain the way we need to replace timing belts.

The 4 cylinder Saturn engines have a small hole in the camshaft sprocket(s) which can align with small holes in the head. When the crankshaft is at #1TDC, the camshafts and the crankshaft should all be properly aligned for assembly.

There is a symbol and light for temperature but, there is no symbol for low coolant. You need to raise the hood and take a look at the coolant recovery tank. That will tell you if it is low or not.

Sounds like the problem I just fixed on my '97 Stratus. The flasher is a combo unit for your turn signals and hazard lights. It is located on the top part of the steering column right of the hazard light swith connected to the multifunction switch (turn signal, lights and wiper switch all one unit). The unit is square and not round like most typical flashers. To remove, disconnect the negative terminal under the hood on the left shock tower first. This is to prevent you from accidently activating your airbag. Next move your tilt steering to its lowest position. Then remove the two screws on the steering column cover. Remove cover and just unplug the flasher. Unfortunately, the flasher may be only available from the dealer as it is not a common part (I've checked for days). However, mine came out of a '02 Neon at a wreakers for a quarter of the cost of new. Any Chrysler car using the same turn signal/wiper switch setup should have the part in it. The only mod you may need to do is remove some of the padding on the outside of the flasher to make it fit. .

As a rule of thumb, once they get to about the same thickness or less as the backing plate-time to change, since they go quickly from there. Also there are rivets inside so you can't use 100% & those rubbing on rotor/drums not good. The rotors do most the work & wear faster. Many people routinely check fronts (when cold) by just sticking your finger thru the wheel & feeling pad/plate along side.

Brake light switch has quit working.

It won't be the fuses, as there is most likely a separate fuse for the high mount stop lamp.
