Who were the good guys in World War 1?

The answers can vary but this is the most factual answer I can give you.

Since we where kids we where told that the Allies where the good guys. Since america suported them durring most of the war and eventually joined then, how can they be bad?

Well thats vary wrong. The allies where the villans.

You see germany at the time became one of the richest and most powerful nations in the world. With a fleet the rivaled Englands. England, France and russia all basically agreed. Germany was to much of a unpredictable threat. The fact that the ottoman empire and austria-hungry ment that they could take care of all of there enemies in one fatal war. Hence the name at the time. The war to end all wars or the world war.

The slavs and austrian hungry conflict was basically an escuse to start the war. tensions where tight for years before then.

The reason why America supported the allies is a bit complex. The two main reasons are that for one, England cut the intercontinental cable connection America from Europe. this literally ment that America had no way from knowing what was going on from lets say a neutral country like spain or Switzerland. Epically one the central countries like germany or the italy. The way we got our information was from england. Namely there ambassador. Wich ment that it was extremely biased and it often depicted just atrocities of the germans. The other reason was that a large part of the wealthy and high class decent from england. especially the upper class. over 2 billion dolars of was given to the allies. While only about 40 thousand when to centrals. mostly becuse even though there where are a large population of germans and irish(who supported the centrals) in america. the head of the treasury department barley let any of the donations through.

In the end when central's lost the war. The allies split up the Central nations. Austria-hungry was spelt in to two countries and many different new countries.

Germanys land was severely cut down. it was no longer able to have an army. and it was forced to pay an out ragious fee for war damages for 90 years.(they just payed it off) Because of the russian Civil war Russia actually lost land and with the combined land from germany Poland was born again. (for 20 more years at least).

President Wilson actually warned the allies to not split germany up so much. That doing so combined the outrageous fees there putting on them well leed to a war.

But they passed him off saying he knew nothing of European politics. In the end well. there stupidity on uprising the Germany people so much lead to Hitler in 1933 and world war 2 in 1939.

I you'ed like to add something or correct something. Go ahead.

Are there hipsters at DePaul University?

Yes, there are quite a few hipsters at DePaul University. The Lincoln Park Campus is about 2 miles away from Wicker Park, which is notoriously the most "hipster" neighborhood in Chicago.

Hipsters are plentiful at the Lincoln Park campus, and their presence is noticeable, but it is not overwhelming as there are plenty of regular every day sweatpants-wearing college students.

A similar hipster presence is noticeable at DePaul's loop (downtown Chicago) campus, but likewise is interspersed with plenty of ordinary suburban-looking kids, suit-wearing business students, law students, and even adults. Overall, the two urban campuses are quite diverse and liberal, which seems to be the type of environment in which hipsterdom flourishes.

A bullet resistant glass screen is made of a number of glass sheets which can be standard thicknesses window glass, separated by air gaps. Security films, preferably made of polyester, are provided on the front and rear surfaces of the glass sheets. A pressure sensitive adhesive can be used to adhere the security films to the glass sheets. The resistance off the screen to penetration by a bullet is increased by increasing the thickness of the air gaps. There is also a metal net on both sides of each glass pane to stop it shattering if a bullet hits it.
