These are the new Forever stamps issued by the United States. They are good for the first ounce of First Class mail. It does not matter what the rate is, you purchase them at the current rate. Even if the postage rate goes up, it is still valid.

The Scott catalog number for this stamp is 2252 . The wagon stamp was not issued in 1866, it was issued in1987. The carriage was made about 1800. The stamp has a minimal value.

In excellant shape, about 185-200 bucks. You can buy used in pawn shops for about $65.00 To $125.00 depending on the shape of the gun. I take it yours is a 9 shot and takes long rifle ammo?

There are many factors involved to determine cost. Stamps of this era were produced in large quantities. If the stamps are on envelope, they could be worth more than a mint or unused stamp. Consult a catalog to identify the stamp and to determine a value. You can find them at your library.

Scott # 2721 and 2724. Issued as a single and as a part of a block of 4. Differentiated by the perforations. Used these get the minimum 20 cent value. Mint they can bring cost about 50 or 60 cents. Consult a postage stamp catalog, usually available at your local library for exact identification and catalog values.

The catalogue price for the Marilyn Monroe souvenir sheet is @ $10. However, they are usually sell for about $3 to $4 a sheet on the market.

There are imperforate examples, meaning that there are no holes between the stamps. A pair without the perforations can be purchased for $8,500.

This stamp is Scott number 2869j. It can be purchased for about 50 cents used and 75 cents in mint condition.

Scott #1 You can purchase a used copy for $700 and an unused one for about $4,000. Selling to a dealer, you could probably get anywhere from 50% to 80% of this price, depending upon condition and other factors. But be aware that there are reprints of this stamp from more recent souvenir sheets. These are not worth nearly as much money a few cents at most.

If it is unmarked, then we don't know that it is First Day of Issue. If the stamp in on an envelope, cachet, unaddressed, with a First Day of Issue cancellation, one can be purchased for about $12 to $14. You could probably sell one to a dealer for $4 or so dollars. You might be better selling on eBay.

There is no US stamp like this and I do not know of any foreign stamps picturing Patrick Henry.
There is a 1 dollar stamp with Patrick Henry on it. It is an example of a minimum catalog value stamp. Its catalog value is 2.50 cents if mint and 20 cents used.
When most US stamps come out they are assigned a catalog value of 20 cents for used and about twice face for mint or 20 cents whichever is more. Most of the US stamps issued in the last 60 years are still at minimum catalog.
The catalog value is a guide to what a dealer charges for this stamp in an individual custom order for it. Mos of this price is to pay the dealer for the labor in locating the stamp in his stocks, replacing it when it is sold, and making up the order. Most of these stamps are sold as part of a packet or collections or mixes of 100 or more stamps for 1 to 2 cents each if used ,and face or less for mint.

After buying a number of such packets or mixes, a collector usually finds that certain stamps are missing and then he may place an order for just these particular stamps in order to complete his collection and pay close to catalog value for them.

Dealers buy used minimum catalog stamps in large lots , collections or accumulations. They do not want to buy such stamps one at a time or in small lots. They pay less than 1/2 cent each for them. They get their mint stamps from the postal service at face while they are available and buy up accumulations of mint stamps for around 80% face . So, if you just have a few such stamps to sell, your only real hope is to find a collector who just happens to need that stamp for his collection. If the stamp is unused, you can use it for postage at its face value. I should add that if the stamp is defective in any way, it is worthless if used.

You wouldn't get much more than the face value for it.

This is a common US commemorative, but is part of a se-tenant sheet and so is

much more valuable than the single issue commemoratives.

If you want to buy just one it will probably cost you from 20 to 30 cents at a stamp store for a used one-- 25- 60 cents for a mint copy

If you want to order it by mail, you would have to pay postage and handling in addition.

Dealers get them as part of larger lots for almost nothing per stamp- 110% face and

5 cents if used inm large lots. The money they would charge you for it is mostly for labor.

I think it is a nice stamp and I would certainly keep a nice copy for my collection. If you more than one, maybe you can trade it for another stamp from this same sheet.

I think you ought to get 10 ordinary commems. for in trade.

To date no one has been stupid enough to risk using one in the mail. With an estimated value of $300,000, (one sold for over $500,000) why would any one use it and risk damage, loss and reduction in value? Well, one person did mail a copy. Mr. Green, the dealer that originally broke the sheet up and sold it, supposedly went out of town and his wife used one to mail him a letter. He kept it in his pocket watch. No value is listed. Out of the 100 stamps, the location of only two of them are unknown, both were stolen.

Scott #805 You can purchase it for 30 cents new and 15 cents used. A dealer probably wont want to handle a single copy.

Calhoun Collector's Society was a mail-order company that sold various collectibles such as plates, stamps, first-day covers, etc in the late 70s until the mid-80s. The headquarters were in Edina, Minnesota on Cahill Road.

This 15 cent stamp was issued in 1965. There are a number of variations, but the value is nominal, 15 cents used for all types. The low price indicates that a dealer is not likely to purchase a single copy. It has a catalog value of 30 cents mint, 20 cents used.

Identify the exact stamp using a catalog. The existence of the edge of the sheet with the stamp doesn't normally affect value. This may involve learning about perforations, watermarks and colors as well as condition. The catalog will provide a value. The value is what a collector could expect to pay for a stamp in fine/very fine condition. If selling, most cases you would be lucky to get 75% of the catalog, unless it is very valuable, then an auction would be worth looking into. The most common American catalog for identification is Scott's. Others are Stanley Gibbons, Minkus and even the US Postal Service Catalog of stamps.

992 Can be purchased mint for .40 and used for .18 Dealers are not likely to be interested in buying one or two stamps. You would be lucky to get .10 for one.
