The 2012 Subaru Outback has a 6-speed manual.

The 2009 Subaru Outback is 15 ft. 9 in. (189 in.) long.

Subaru 4 cylinder does not use a serpentine belt. The 6 cylinder instructions are rather simple, same as my '88 Cavalier and I presume any car that uses a serpentine belt. This comes from the factory service manual:

remove collector cover

install tool to tensioner pulley installation bolt

rotate tool clockwise to loosen the belt and remove

install in reverse order

750rpm 850rpm w/Air Condition on

The neutral safety switch or (clutch safety switch) is above the clutch pedal near the fire wall. It is a small black (on my Subaru Impreza) button that is about half way between the pedal and where the clutch arm is attached.

more information is needed . What engine and what type of set up are you talking about should be no problem but the maf sensor at the original air cleaner ( if its a newer engine ) will need to be repositioned in the pre throttle body air flow. There are plenty or aftermarket performance air cleaners that will fit in the oem location.

The light in the switch can not be changed, the whole switch would need to be replaced.

I have a subaru outback 2001 LL BEAN and I don't know if mine has VDC or where to find the button to turn it on. ***** The VDC(Vehicle Dynamics Control) System works in conjunction with the ABS and the TCS(Traction Control System). It will automatically come on when you hit hazardous road conditions or if you make a sudden move, and will automatically go off when things are back to normal. So "you" don't turn it on, and "you" don't turn it off.....

The minimum amount of 5w-30 engine oil is 5.75 quarts, I have had a few take as much as 7 quarts. Just start with 5.75 and then recheck the oil level and add more if necessary. Just remember to wait at least 15 seconds once the engine is shut off to let the oil return to the pan, because unlike most cars these have horizontally opposed engines and the oil has to drain sideways and takes a little longer to get an accurate reading.

It is not uncommon for fuel filters to be located in the fuel tank. In tank fuel filters should not be confused with fuel pump strainers. Consult your local auto parts store, they will be able to tell you if the fuel filter is located in the fuel tank as the part number designation will likely be replaced with the code N/S meaning not serviceable. You may also find the nearest subaru dealers service or parts department able to assist you. If all else fails follow the fuel lines from the tank to the intake manifold. If the fuel filter is in line you will stumble across it at some point. Though I do not recall servicing this exact vehicle model my experience with previous subaru's is that the fuel filter is located in the engine compartment on the battery side, close to the firewall and beneath the brake master cylinder. It's tuff to get at if that is where it is.

check your user manual, it should tell you how to do it, if its possible.

Check to make sure you didn't bump the switch on the top of the steering column (directly behind the steering wheel) that turns the parking lights on permanently.

The transmission has nothing to do with your timing belt. If your vehicle is equipped with a 2.5l it has a timing belt. If you have a 3.0l it has timing chains. Cheers!

Subaru recommends SAE 5W-30 Energy Conserving Automotive Grade Oil.....

Generally, to replace spark plugs on a Subaru vehicle, the spark plug boot should be removed. Then, the old spark plugs should be removed using a socket wrench, and replaced with new ones.

It may be a fuse.

There is no such thing as a 1995 subaru outback, the outback package was not offered on a subaru legacy until 1996, you either have a 1996 subaru outback, or you have a 1995 subaru Legacy L or LSI wagon. Both will be covered in most guide books you can pick up at your local autoparts store.

It's the theft part of the keyless entry system...reprogram your keyless entry and it stops...

It's your cars keyless entry system that is the source of the problem.

If the battery has been disconnected, it will cause this to happen.

You have to find the keyless entry system reset button

on my 1997 subaru it is under the dash on left side it is a black button

hold the button in and at the same time turn the key to the on position

(Do not start the car just turn to the on position)

for about 20 seconds and it will reset

make sure when putting gas cap back on that you tighten the cap until it clicks or the check engine light will ccome on

The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too.
