2006 Toyota Highlander maintenance light reset?

Turn on ignition (without starting engine) - make sure the odometer is set to actual vehicle mileage (NOT the trip meter) - push in on the odometer/trip meter switch and turn off the ignition - turn ignition back on continuing to keep the switch depressed for about 5 - 10 seconds. The odometer readout should change to all zeroes - the service reminder function is now re-set. (note: this procedure is explained in your owner's manual).

What is the ticking sound from the turn signal after you have made a turn and the signal is no longer blinking?

I think its the relay. I have just been given a 96 countour with the same problem. Follow the noise under the dash or in the steering column. Be careful working around air bag system or hire the repair. Check out the electrical schematics from a chiltons manual. I wont attempt the repair until i reseach the need for disarming the bags and see if there is anything else on the circuit that would cause the problem. Also, depending on the make/model, it could be within the switch itself. I own a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM, and there is no relay. The ticking happens right at the hazard/turn lamp switch on the dash. That switch could be a costly little piece, though. Mine was $50 CDN, and it still didn't solve the problem. I was told to check all the signal bulbs and try replacing any that aren't working. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help!

How do you change the cabin filter on a 2004 Toyota Highlander?

open the glovebox. on the right side there is a dampener that is attached to a little knob on the glovebox. pull it off then squeeze the sides and twist the glovebox so the stoppers can go past where they usually rest. open it up now as far as it will go without breaking anything and inside youll see an 8"x2" white plastic rectangular panel. this is the front of a small drawer that holds the cabin air filter in place. its easy to slide out and replace the filter now that you know where to find it.

What could cause your skid control light to come on at 75000 miles?

usually the skid control light is not the only light to come on. if there is a check engine light and or abs light on also (i suspect that this is the case) these problems need to be addressed first. for example if the engine has a misfire, the skid control system cannot work properly so the computer trips both lights to let you know you ought to have it checked. when the light is on it will not operate!
