I assume that the latch is broken? You can get a stiff wire and poke it in the hole on the right inside section of the handle - hook the release lever and pull down while pulling outward.

If this doesn't work or the hole is blocked by part of the handle, then you'll have to pull the paneling off from the inside. Look on the Toyota Sequoia boards - there are tons of explanations on how to do this and some even provide pictures. You probably will need to replace the rear handle - not that hard a job. The dealer wanted $400; I did it for $15 with an eBay knockoff.

This sounds crazy.......your gas cap must click when you screw it on. After you have tightened your cap, disconnect your battery and wait 20 seconds and reconnect it. Your light should now be off.

The oil filter is located (if you're in front of the vehicle looking toward the windshield) to the right lower front of the engine. In order to change the filter you will need to do it from below the engine. You will have to remove the large metal dust plate, which I believe has 5 bolts that hold it in place. Remove the front ones first, then the rear 2. The plate has metal tabs at the front bolt hole locations to hold it in place so it doesn't hit you in the face. Carefully slide the plate toward the rear and lower it to the ground. Now you will have easy access to the oil filter. Hope this helps.

I live in FL, and use Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30. If regular motor oil was used prior or you are unsure, use motor flush first.

There are two U shaped tools that you can buy from an auto parts store (Very cheap). You simply put them into the the small holes on either side of the stereo and they disable to locking mechanisms. Very easy to do. The radio then slides straight out.

Removing the roof rack from a 2005 Sequoia is a little challenging. For starters, it is a good idea to put a soft blanket on the roof under the cross bars to protect against mishaps. You will also need to work off of a short step ladder. Careful! The plastic covers on the front and rear hard points need to come off first. They snap in on one end and then slide out. I recommend using a hairdryer to slightly warm the plastic to avoid breaking off the snaps that hold the covers. Next you need to remove the torx screws which are now exposed. Careful! I recommend using a good quality torx bit kit and a ratchet or t- handle. Once this is done, remove the torx fittings from the cross bars. Now, remove the plastic cover from the center hard point on one side only and then remove the torx fittings. Gently remove the side rail you have just freed by rocking and lifting to pull the positioning pins out of the holes in the roof. The cross bars will slide out and drop on the roof. Remember the blanket? Remove the cross bars and then repeat the steps to remove the opposite side rail. At this point you can install the replacement rack as per the maker's instructions.

This is one job that requires skill and the proper tools. Serious damage can be done to the engine if done incorrectly. Leave this to an expert. If you have lots of time, a service manual and a comfortable place to work you can do it. But to change on on a working vehicle it will take you all day, and you want to MAK SURE you do it right or you'll ruin the valvetrain and likely have to trash the car. What model year maxima do you have? 1995 to present model years all have Timing Chains (not belts!). These chains are designed to last the life of the car. Over the years, this chain may stretch slightly, in which case you can have it tightened. It should cost very little to have your local mechanic adjust the tension on your timing belt.
