How do you fix a boot error when booting from a USB configured by Sardu?
This was a BIOS settings issue.
In the BIOS of this Asus netbook I found a second setting, which also had to be set with "USB" as 1st boot device.
When I found this setting, the 'Boot Settings' dialog box had the following categories:
"Boot Device Priority".
"Hard Disk Drives":
It was necessary to additionally set "USB" as 1st boot device within the "Hard Disk Drives" category.
In here its default settings were:
"HDD"
"USB".
If you know what BNF is:
Identifier -> Start Cont
Start -> letter | underline
Cont -> empty | (letter | underline | digit) Cont
Yes, you can do so in registry settings. However where it's located very much depends on the version of Windows you are using. Please feel free to message me and I'll help as best I can.
Is BIOS volatile or non volatile?
BIOS is a program (stored in ROM), not a memory.
However the BIOS uses a battery backed up RAM to store a variety of settings and parameters. This BIOS RAM is itself volatile (it can only store data when powered), however the battery backup provides power to this RAM when the main power of the computer is off (making it act as if it were nonvolatile). When this battery dies the BIOS RAM will lose its data and (after the battery is replaced) the machine may have to be reconfigured from scratch before the machine will startup correctly.
What Is USB and How Does It Work?
USB means Universal Serial Bus which is the solution for all PC users who want an instant, no-hassle way to connect new hardware like digital joysticks, scanners, digital speakers, digital cameras or a PC telephone to their computer.
USB makes adding peripheral devices extremely easy. With USB-compliant PCs and peripherals, you just plug them in and turn them on. USB makes the whole process automatic. It's like adding instant new capabilities to your PC.
Another USB feature is "hot-swapping". You no longer need to shut down and restart your PC to attach or remove a peripheral. Just plug in the new device and the PC automatically detects the peripheral and configures the necessary software.
Most PCs, including laptops on the market today are fully USB-ready...ready for USB digital cameras, scanners, printers, computer telephony products, digital speakers and digital gaming devices.

How much information does a 4gb fash drive hold?
You have to bear in mind that different file types and foemats can take up more space than others. For example, Your average word document (1-4 pages) takes up between 10-1000 KB, but an hour's video could take up over 1GB...
1 Killabyte (KB) = 1000 Bytes (B)
1 Megabyte (MB) = 1000KB
1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1000MB
1 Terrabyte (TB) = 1000GB
1 Petabyte (PB) = 1000TB
..So it really depends on what you are putting on it. 4GB is plenty for storing pictures/files etc. , but not big enough to back up a Hard Disk or store big movie files.
A 4 GB flash drive can hold approximately 2,200 7 megapixel JPG images at maximum quality, 1,000 MP3 songs or six full-length movies in the Divx format. Any combination of file types can be stored on the same flash drive.
