i took my windscreen washer pump off and cleaned it and cleaned tubes attached,put pump back on resorvoir but water still not coming out properly from front washer nozzles,any answers

Variable Valve Timing. This means the valve timing self adjusts to set the optimum time they open and shut to maximise engine fuel/power efficiency.

it usuallt comes on when the engine management system has pick up a fault, to investigate why it has come on you need to get it put on some suitable diagnostic equipment most loca garages have this now.

you power steering fluid may be low, if that was the case then you would have lowerd hydrolic power to steer the wheels and have to compensate by using more force...which may be why your steering is stiff.

The oil can usually means needs oil and the spanner means time for a service

On Vectra C 04 model, the steering pump is located inside the rear wheel arch, quite an easy job to do really however the pump if new will cost you around £450, after fitted the car must be taken to vauxhall dealers to have the steering calibrated and only this can be done with tech 2 software,only then will the stering wheel light go out on the display.

It doesn't, its just a spec. I've asked vauxhall, and its just what they do, use letters that sound sporty

you will need a serpentine belt tool and a floor jack and a block of wood. the belt tool removes the tension off the belt, allowing you to remove or replace belt. the jack and wood, are for lowering the engine. place jack under oil pan right front corner with wood on jack, raise jack up to pan. remove right motor mount nut, lower engine enough to wiggle belt out. slide new belt through gap. raise engine, replace motor mount nut and tighten nut. you will need another person to work the belt tool while replacing the belt. oh! and belt can be ruff sliding through gap, when taking it off and putting new one on. approx. $25 for tool.

take drivers wheel off and drop down plastic panel to get at the pulley. above the crank shaft there is a 45 tork you loosen to slacken the belt you can get at the alt bolt from here to but you have to bring the alt out over the back of engine so take scuttle panel off and there is 3 10mms holding that black cylinder that's in your road take the to nuts off the back of alt 8mm and 13 and their is a 14mm at the top of alt going into were the timing belt is but easy to get at and it should come out dead on......hope this helps

i would 50/50 it just to be on the safe side as you dont want anythign to freeze up.

lift the handbrake boot thing up from around your hand brake lever there is a 10mm nut tighten it up not too much other wise ur back wheels wont turn or will lock up you may need a 10mm long socket not a short-normal 1

its on the right hand side of the engine as you look at it. That is between the engine and the battery. It has one big hose and two others coming out of it. Be careful, Vectra diesel thermostat does not open quickly when the weather is cold, in hot weather the operating temperature is about 90.

Press and hold the mileage reset button turn the ignition on wait for 4 dashes to appear, switch ignition off job done !

this will not work. this only resets your service light and not the engine managent light.

possibly a rivet has come out of the window regulator mechanism. on mine there is a 10mm bolt on right hand lock side of the mechanism, which is a fine adjustment for the window travel this is accessed with the door pad removed the 10mm bolt is on an elongated hole and the bolt thread had stripped on mine. i replaced said bolt re-adjusted travel and bingo, hope this helps

If your Ford Focus electric window is not working, there may be an issue with the switch or the one touch down relay. If replacing the switch does not solve the problem, it could be an issue with the motor, fuses or a poor connection of the wiring between the motor and the switch. If this is something you cannot tackle yourself, it might be worth having a mechanic look at it for you.

The oil pump is an external mount (pass side, behind dist) - Probably has six mounting bolts, whereas new pump has five - No problem, fully interchangeable! Melling replacement pump is slightly larger (more volume) than stock... good deal! Move sending unit from old pump to new one. Side note - prime pump before installing.

May have just failed and need to be replaced.Also,fitting none vauxhall radio/stereo can cause failure due to incompatibility. Try this==on later models display can sometimes be reset by removing fuse #24 for 5 seconds then refitting,this will entail re-entering the radio code,may work for you?
