I am having same trouble with my v50 t5 - get someone with a vida system- diagnostics it will indicate which cylinders are misfiring and part of the numerical code given may give a hint as to the cause of the misfire. if there is a pattern to the misfire eg. 3,4,5 it could be the wiring to the coils ie. a dirty earth on that wiring set. A simple thing to check a weak point in all volvos in the fuel cap - it's cheap and very important to fuel pressure, which can also be cause of intermittent misfires - however would suggest errors for fuel pressure may come up on the mechanics vida system if it is fuel pressure problem eg fuel sensor low pressure etc..

Open the hood and look on the backside of the headlight housing. You will see a plastic cover that rotates 1/4 turn and comes off. Unplug the connector from the bulb ( be easy on them as the plastic has been hot and cold many times and have a tendency to be fragile. Undo the wire bale from its holder on both upper sides of the bulb and let it tilt downward. Revmove the bulb and assemble in reverse order. Be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb as body oil from your fingers or any foreign matter will shorten the bulb life considerably.

That is not entirely true. Smaller model (C30, c40) do have a manual transmission options. Higer end models (S60, S80) do not (as of 2009 models). for the S80, for example, you get a 6 speed Geartronic transmission, that's it, no options.

Some considerations:

You will have to remove the plastic pannel on the underside of the car. It is held in place by about 7 12MM bolts.

Secondly, a standard oil filter wrench will not work, you need more clearance and hence a ratchet "cup style" should do the trick.

A 2001 Volvo S60 will require a V410 "cup style" ratchet easily acquired for under $15 online. Do not try to use a regular oil filter to remove it or you will break the plastic casing.

take the tire off, remove the caliper, remove and replace brake pads, compress piston, slide caliper over the roter, tighten up the bolts on the back of the caliper, do one side at a time, open up the master cylinder before messing with it, its pretty easy.

The fuel filter on this model S60 is located under the vehicle on the passenger side.

There is a Technical Service Bulletin out on this. Do a Google search to find the details. It is a loose grounding strip in the pillar by the rear window on the drivers side. Dealer can resolve.

hi sorry for my English.... you can check the a/t fluid in a Volvo s60 02 2.4 in a little dipstick color yellow located in front of the car in a left side of the transmission oil pan check with the car in park position & idle with the temperature in the midle. the difference between low level and high level is 0.25 us qt. thanks.

If the car is running at idle speed while you are turning, the power steering pump has to push a lot of fluid with little power. If it sounds like a slight creaking, then it's normal. If it is a high-pitched squeal, then the serpentine belt may need to be tightened or replaced. Either way is not that big of a deal. If it is a grinding noise and you can feel a jerking motion as you turn the steering wheel, then you have a serious problem and need to take it into a mechanic.

I need to know this too my passenger door wont open from the inside same year same make I need to fix it It is really easy. The first thing you do is pry the door handle front half off. Be careful not to scratch the plastic when you do this. There are 2 torx screws that need to be removed that have now been exposed. Nest you remove the plastic holders that are around the edges of the panel. I believe there are 7 of them. Push in on the center of the clips until they pop, then remove the whole clip. Once they are all removed, lift the panel up over the door lock button. There are 2 wires that have quick disconnects and a quick disconnect for the doo lock mechanism. If your interior door latch handle does not work, this could be the problem.

If it is an automatic, it is hidden under the air intake duct under the hood on the right side of the engine towards the front of the car. It has a round handle that is yellow in color. I will try to put pictures at the end. If it is a manual, it has no dipstick. I hope this helps.

The SRS light is on because there is a malfunction. The malfunction may prevent your airbag from deploying properly in a crash. The light will not go out until the malfunction is repaired. The best thing is to take the car to an authorized repair facility where they will connect a scan tool to the SRS system and diagnose the malfunction. It could just be a loose wire or connector somewhere.
