labor could be around 4 or 5 hundred dollars, but with their markup with parts it could be well near 1000 dollars. Before you get it serviced I suggest asking the mechanic if they will allow customer supplied parts
go to the station you want to change the preset on too then hold down the button you wish to set it too for a few seconds it will beep at you when it is set.
open the trunk...no joke. near the top there is a black button looking piece...pull it. then go into the car...middle of the seat 2/3 of the way up look for the strap and pull. it's a safety feature if the top is down so no one can break into your trunk.
To let the back seat down on a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM, you have to open the trunk and pull the release straps located at the top of the back of the seat. By pulling these straps and slightly pushing the back of the seat they will go forward.
it's manual no power

The key for the Volkswagen Cabrio from the years 2000 through 2004 are still 'MFG RESTRICTED' and are a 'DEALER RESTRICTED KEY'. Unfortunately you will have to go to the dealer for any additional keys. There is not a separate 'VALET' key. Some models have what is called a 'SERVICE KEY' which will operate the locks, but will not start the vehicle. The Cabrio is not one of these.

the answer code for the stereo and the nav is under the hood on the right side toward the front windshield. open the black fuse box and the codes are under the lid. ones for the radio code and the other one for the nav
The codes are only there if the P.D.I. technician put the stickers there. The code stickers should never be left in the vehicle. It is the serial numbers only, that should be left in the vehicle. The correct place for them is in the glove box, per Honda pre delivery inspection procedures. The code sticker should be on the code card and the second code sticker on the repair order for the P.D.I.

The 99 has two bolts holding the lower rear seat cushion. They are in the front in plain sight. I'm not sure of the upper cushion.
Just remove hydraulic oil from conv. top motor and you can operate top by hand. worked for me for years
NOTE: Applies to the 5-speed manual transmission ONLY.
The knob is simply an interference fit, pushed on. So it just pulls off. There are many approaches, but to avoid banging yourself in the head (or elsewhere), here's what to do.
Sit in the driver's seat. Put the shifter in neutral or second gear. "Lace" the fingers of both hands under the knob. Pull upward with all your might. Use your entire back (optionally, pivot your body at the waist), as if you're pulling a weed or pull-starting a lawn mower engine, for the most leverage. The knob will just pull off.
You may need to use a "set screw" on the side of the knob to keep an aftermarket knob in place.
it is on fuse-relay box (0n drivers side).it is number 409.
