What would cause our 2004 sport trac tires to wear out on inside cant get more then 30000 miles on a set just how long should they lastthe tires have been roatated an balanced every oil change?

My 2001 is doing the same thing. I have talked to hundreds of Sport Trac owners and almost all of them have the same problem. It is something in the front end that makes them feather. Ford will not admit to a problem.

What happens if a steering rod is broken?

There are usually two threaded greasable joints at each end of a steering rod. If the rod is strait and not bent or cracked, then adding new joints at the end of the steering rod should put it back in business. If the rod it's self is messed up then you'll have to look for another.

How do you adjust the alignment on a 2002 Passat?

Only the toe is adjustable in the front of any 2002 Passat. Caster and Camber are not adjustable, if one side is off the only thing you can do is shift the entire subframe.

There are no adjustments in the rear of a front wheel drive Passat. All wheel drive (4Motion) Passats have toe adjustments in the rear as well. They may have rear camber adjustments.
