How do you fix a fuser in a printer?

Your best bet is to replace the whole fuser assembly. Many manufactures now design their systems with customer performed maintenance in mind. They offer CSR (customer replacable units) for many of their products. The fuser is usually one of the items offered. If your fuser falls into this catagory, see the manufactures representive in your area and order one. Installation is usually a snap out, snap in affair. Oh and yeah....it wont be cheap!

If you are stuck with the older fuser assy and the roll can be replaced by itself. This job should be left to the manufactures tech. The possibility of damaging other parts while trying to remove the fuser heat roll is great (and costly). It would be a crying shame to have the roll almost in and then put a big scratch in the coating. Every copy would show the result of your screw up and no the warrenty does not cover it. I don't know the cost of a fuser roll now, but they were spendy a few years ago.

The hard part is going to be finding the fuser assy and parts. Try the manufactures web site. If you have no luck there, check with a dealer in your area and see if he would be willing to sell you a fuser assy. Either route will be costly.

On the older printers, most fuser assemblies cost more than a new printer unless it is a high end model.

When would you use Windows 7 home basic?

Windows seven home basic, or more commonly known as windows 7 starter is mainly used for netbooks that don't have very much RAM and hard drive space, and alos maybe not as much processing power. If you have a notebook laptop or a desktop PC consider Windows 7 Home Premium.

Windows 7 starter lacks some features that home premium has like windows aero's transparency to save RAM and hard drive space for lower end computers.

How do you develop user assurance that a trusted system provides factual correctness?

You can't. User assurance is predicated on the assumption that the user trusts you. If the user does not trust you, there is no amount of factual correctness that will develop user assurance in a trusted system.

Why does the password I am using not match with what a website wants?

The most common reason a password on any web site is rejected is because the web visitor did not use all lowercase, or did not match the case used in the original password. Most web sites want all lowercase letters; some do not.

Let's say a password is LitMan20BCXb

The web site will either require it to be typed exactly as is, or in lowercase letters.

Tips:

  • Always check the CAPS Lock key; turn it off.
  • Copy and Paste a password to get it right.
  • Do NOT copy a space before or after a password.
  • Note whether a letter is an "i" or a small L.
  • Watch for 'm' or 'n' letters; they look very similar on a monitor screen in the e-mail you get from a web site.
  • Use a paper notebook to keep track of passwords and web sites.
  • If you need a password reset, change the password to something you will remember.
  • Set a security question, if available.
  • Set an alternative E-mail address, if available.

Can a file with a csv extension can ONLY be used by Excel?

CSV is a Comma Separated Variable file. These are simple text files with data in lines and text separated by commas. They are used as ways of storing data so it can be imported from one application to another. A CSV file could be created in Excel and then opened in a database such as Access. Each line would be a record and where each comma would be it would start a new field. Coming from Excel, each comma would have been created from the division of each cell, so data could be taken from Access, put into a CSV format and transferred to Excel and many applications. So CSV files are not limited to Excel.

Format the computer. Insert system back up CD or USB and reboot. Once rebooted upload files that you have saved from CD or separate partition.
