Not to be a dick, but probably Windows ME. It's time for you to upgrade to windows 2000 or XP, or if the computer is super old "upgrade" back to windows 98. The best joke I've heard in a long time:

If you want to install Windows on your Mac, there are a few things you'll need to know and purchase beforehand.

First, you can only run Windows if you have a newer Intel-based Mac. Click the Apple logo at the upper left hand corner of your screen and choose 'About this Mac'. See the related link below for more on what to look for.

Second, You cannot download Windows XP - you'll need to purchase a retail copy.

Finally, in order to actually install XP, you'll need to use one of several available applications for your Mac. Apple offers Boot Camp, which will provide you with the best performance, but the Windows and Mac systems on your computer will be separate, and you'll need to restart the machine to switch between them. The other option is to use virtualization software, which won't perform as well, but allows for mostly seamless integration between the Windows and Mac systems, and you won't need to restart to switch. Yes, but they will need to be launched once they are on the removable device. This can only happen one of two ways. Either you must run it yourself, or it must be automatically started. You would not try running a random file on a newly-formatted drive which should be empty, and the only way the system will automatically run the virus is if it is instructed to do so in a file called autorun.inf on the disk. If there is one, just right-click on it, and select edit. Look down the list, and make sure that the "run" entries, if there are any, don't refer to anything odd. If you don't find anything odd, then if there is an infection on the disk from formatting, it is trapped.

Windows XP comes with a sound recorder, located in Accessories. It will only allow you to record up to 60 seconds by default, though. You can also use a third-party program like Audacity or WavePad. These programs have better effects and do a better job of editing as well.
