Should I report my employer for not having workman's comp?
Some states have exemptions for employers with a low number of employees or for other reasons, like if all "employees" are partners. Rather than report your employer, which I guess is an option, you might ask your employer why they don't carry Workers' Comp. If you feel comfortable expressing this concern to them you can let them know that obtaining a quote can give them some key data on which to make a decision. Maybe you'd be a good person to head that up for them and increase your value to the company. Some employers don't realize they're still liable even if they don't have coverage, or that it's better to have a low limit on the coverage or carry an alternative like Occupational Accident (where available & appropriate) than to go "bare."

What is the hourly compensation for a personal assistant to a business owner?

Can a bank garnish workman's compensation benefits?
It's not the bank that garnishes your check. It's the person or business you owe money to that does that. If your pay checks are being garnised for child support or anything else, then I do believe that they can garnish this too. The reason I think this is because unemployemnt checks can be garnised for child suport. This does not automatically happen though. The child support agency has to be notified that the payer is receiving unemployment. Then the child support agency intercepts the unemployment check and takes the amount owed. I know this because my daughter's father was receiving unemployment and I notified the child support agency. If I hadn't done that he would not have paid it. Hope this helps! * States establish income and property exemption laws, the majority of states consider WCI as disability and it is protected from judgment creditors. As noted previously WCI, unemployment and other disability and public benefits can be garnished for court ordered child support. It is important to keep all exempted funds separate from other income. Commingling funds in single or joint accounts can result in the account being "frozen" until the court decides which portion of the funds can be exempted from levy.
Are you paid for the first week out of work on workmans comp as back pay?
Typically the first week is not paid. If you have accured time such as vacation, personal or the like or you have short term disability you can usually use this to compensate.
It is going to depend on why your knees gave out. In Michigan, the Workers' Compensation Act states that an employee is entitled to Workers' Compensation Benefits if their job caused, accelerated or aggrevated an underlying condition. Consequently, you would have to prove that your job caused your knees to give out or accelerated or aggrevated some condition which then caused your knees to give out. How do you do this? You have to have an accurate job description that will show how it affected your condition and you will need medical records and a supporting physician to indicate that your job caused, accelerated or aggrevated your condition which in turn caused your knees to give out and thus made you fall and break your wrist.

In a vacuum, they always land at the same time.
In air, it's not so much the weight but the air resistance.
If the shape and density are about the same, then the difference in weight doesn't make any difference.
I assume you mean Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
This is a swelling (for whatever reason) of the soft tissue around one of the nerves in your wrist (the nervus medianus to be exact). The problem is, that this nerve doesn't have much room, so it gets compressed. Nerves don't take compression very well, so you start to get a tingly sensation that you can "shake away". If it gets worse, the tingling turns to pain, and later on in reduction of muscle amount in your ulnar (the pinky side) of your palm, and even to paralysis.
Treatment usually starts with drugs (such as ibuprofen), can include local injections with corticoid, and when all fails, surgery. During this procedure, more room is created for the nerve, solving the problem. This can easely be done under regional anesthetics, and is considered minor surgery. Revalidation is short (2 weeks average).
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a collection of characteristic symptoms and signs that occurs following entrapment of the median nerve within the carpal tunnel. Usual symptoms include numbness, paresthesias, and pain in the median nerve distribution. These symptoms may or may not be accompanied by objective changes in sensation and strength of median-innervated structures in the hand. Given that carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is associated with low aerobic fitness (and increased BMI), it makes inherent sense to provide the patient with an aerobic fitness program.

An employer cannot make you work ANY days without pay.

It sounds like the company may have gone out of business. If that's the case, you can sue for the money owed to you in small claims court (even if the company is still in business). Your local clerk of the court can assist you in this. You can probably also consult an employment attorney free of charge.

Not legally. HIPAA required doctors and insurers to protect your records against abuse.

Depending on the State Laws in your state, you may not have any choice but to accept it, whether you like the job or not. I look at this way, you could have no job and no income, so light duty or having different duties is better than nothing. Make sure you read up on your State's latest DOL injury information.
What do you mean by food security?
Food security refers to the availability of food and ones access to it. A household is considered food secure when its occupants do not live in hunger or fear of starvation.
If you return to work on light duty will you get a paycheck from your employer and workers comp?
No. Because the doctor has verified that are able to work, and you are receiving a normal paycheck on company time. Now a check from workers comp may overlap with your employer pay, but, once workers comp has been notified, that you are working, light duty or otherwise, those payments will stop.
