However, since your question was about horsepower, not which block you have, I will tell you the horsepower. The 1998 Vortec 5.7 liter makes 255 horsepower.

The 1990-96 Bronco came with a 210HP 5.8L (351cid) engine mated up with a 3-speed automatic only. Automakers always downplayed their Horsepower numbers, for insurance reasons, so you can add another 10% to it for a total of 231HP
