Buckminster Fuller had very little Architectural schooling, but spent most of his time studying everything, not just architecture but literally everything. Physics, material characteristics, and anything else that had anything to do with actual physical design of the human world. His designs were based upon actual experimentation he himself did, and he was not oriented towards what passes as Architecture in the academic subculture.

He was never taught what he was not supposed to do. Having been born nearly blind, he didn't get instructed what was the common way of thinking, which was based upon social convention, until he got glasses when he was older. Much of what we think is not consciously chosen but absorbed by what we see and hear as small children. He had to go by touch, not my sight, and it tremendously influenced his designs to go with what worked rather than what social convention or academia dictated.

First of all, you need a Bachelor's Degree in architecture, then you have to have a background in architecture history, green building design, project management, construction methods, and CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidEdge or Solidworks. Then you can also have a master's degree in architecture, but you have to have one or the other. For a master's, you need the bachelor's requirements, and also design theory.

i would say more towards history because of stuff like English Heritage, but in another way basic geography like erosion and stuff. if i way you i will take history.

And TBH it is a bit to early to be thinking about careers, you will be thinking that you definetly want to be an architect but their is other jobs out their based around stuff like architect. E.G Archaetologist ( i think that's how you spell it) hope the advice helps.
