Yes Del Monroe had a brother named Roger, and Del Monroe went to Inglewood High in Inglewood CA, not Santa Barbara High School like he claims. Also Del Monroe lied big time about the year he was born. He was a few years older than he claimed to be. I was born in 1934, and Del was three years ahead of me in high school. Isn't there anybody out there that can straighten all this miss information about Del Monroe. I knew the Monroe family very well, and for a period of time Del Monroe's girl friend was the daughter of the Chief of Police in Hawthorne CA, the town that Del Monroe lived in when he grew up. Her name was Barbara Ward. Why was any of this information hidden, there is nothing bad to cover up. To bad Del's not around to explain this mystery.

If she laughs right away I would say that you are confusing the word scare with the word startle. Scare: To strike with sudden fear; alarm. To Frighten. Startle: To cause to make a quick involuntary movement or start. Lots of toddlers love to be startled. Some get scared but most find something happening suddenly and unexpectedly to be hilarious. I do this to my nephew all the time. I jump out from behind doors, or flip him upside down when I hug him or drop a pillow off the balcony so it falls near him and he is always startled, always laughs and then says "Again again!" If he was scared he would cry and be nervous about situations where it had happened. Scaring children is wrong.
