Hope u got he correct code1.Switch on the radio 2. 1000 will be displayed. 3 Use button 1 to enter the first number of the code ( eg if code = 0594 then press 1 till you get to 0, then 2 till you get to 5, 3 till 9, 4 till 4 then press and cd forward skip button for more than 4 seconds. NB if the radio displays safe2 leave the radio on for at least an hour without switching ignition on or off if you interrupt the power to the radio the count down starts from the beginning. With most common "radio codes" systems the code input phase gets locked out if an improper code is attempted (iirc after the 3rd failure). You must then wait at least 1 hour with the radio powered up (IE ignition on in acc and radio on for example) before attempting code again. Note that the power must not be turned off and on or lockout timer starts again!

If it is a stock radio, turn the car radio off to where no sound is coming from it but the clock is illuminated. Press the "clock" button and hold until the time starts blinking. On your station preset buttons at the bottom of your radio, button 5 has an "H" on it and button 6 has an "M" on it. Press button 5 until the correct hour displays then button 6 until your clock reflects the current time. Finally, press the clock button to allow the radio to accept the changes.

Just came from a mechanic. Check to see if you have a bad ignition cyliner. This may help. must brake, going up / down steep hill too quickly

There is a bulb in there behind the display. Check some forums. Dosent seem to hard to replace.

While both use high frequencies that are line of sight range only, the cellphone connects to a cellular network of transceiver antenna towers that are interconnected (via either landlines or microwave links) permitting cellphones at practically unlimited distances to communicate. VHF radios can only communicate when they can "see" each other (or both can "see" the same VHF repeater).

We used these radios at Amgen for theCIS department in Thousand Oaks, CA. I was able to go to Sears 4.3 miles away and still communicate back to Amgen, Now take into account we had repeaters on top of the higher buildings around campus. We took the same radios to Pismo Beach in Oceano Dunes OHV area and was able to communicate from radio to radio 2-3 miles apart in the dunes. Many factors are to be concidered on the actual distance you can communicate such as: are there any repeaters and direct line of sight play an important factor. So in conclusion I would say between radio and radio 2-3 miles obstructed and 3-5 miles unobstructed.

The slot is just dead space. You can place your gum or cigs there. Also, if wanted, you can remove the radio and that slot allows you to use a bigger radio. ie. Nav sytem or CD change types.

Sure you can use it. The question is: How effective will it be ? In the real world, the answer is: If it's a choice between an indoor FM antenna and the TV antenna on the roof, then you'll be very satisfied using the roof-mounted TV antenna for FM. Technically, the parts ('sticks') on the TV antenna are not the right lengths for FM, so the TV antenna won't be very efficient for FM reception. BUT ... it'll be a darn sight better than a piece of wire downstairs inside the house. If you live in a rural area, you'll start picking up the distant FM stations that you couldn't quite hear before. If you live in or near a big city with lots of FM stations, you just might start picking up so many that the dial of your radio is crowded, and you have troubled separating out the one you want. If that happens, you may need to get back offof the TV antenna, just because it's working TOO well for your FM radio.
