Head lice are tiny insects that somewhat resemble fleas. If you want to see what they look like, you can search on any search engine which has an image search feature. Go there, click images, then type in "head lice" and you will see various images of head lice itself as well as nits that are eggs of head lice.

Cleaning a carpet spot for both smell and stain, tanic acid works but will smell for several days (it's available over the counter through pet supply outlets). Clean first with a heavy duty / high traffic carpet cleaner, apply the tanic acid treatment, rinse liberally (soak) with clear water, and vacuum thoroughly with wet/dry vac.
Grass stains or discoloration: By the time you see the damage it's already done. Rake it (hard) clear and over seed. Females produce more acidic urine and you can search on line for product that will reduce or neutralize acidity (I've found the products moderately successful, at best, and they require daily dosing the dog. Usually a waste of time/money/effort. Just rake hard, flush, and over seed.
If you catch it immediately, for lawns (especially blue grass and mixes) flush the effected area with 2-5 gallons of water. Again, just prep and over seed if it starts changing color (yellowing).
This is the heavy duty fix for large breed working dogs like German Shepherds. Often, nothing is required for small breed dogs.
Try from the easiest (soaking with water for lawns) to reseeding, especially with smaller breeds.
I routinely train with 18 - 25 working dogs and after 30+ years, including commercial cleaning, this is the best I've found. If you find a better solution, please drop me a note.

Dog fleas are a different species than cat fleas, and flea collars are designed for the specific flea type. A dog collar on a cat would probably be less effective, or may not work at all.

Earth worms are both male and female so they can make themselves pregnant that's kind of complicated.
How often should puppies go to the vet?
Dogs should go to the vet very often. It's fine to go every six months for a regular checkup, not counting if they have diseases or injuries, but it's better to go once a month just to be safe. If there's something wrong with your dog, you should go to the vet immediately. If you're worried about prices, you can call the vet instead because you won't have to pay and see if the condition is serious.
How do you get a tick off a cat?
hold your cat down then find the tick and try not to get any fur because it might hurt your cat put your finger on the tick (you can wear gloves) and just turn/roll (not twist) it in one direction until it comes out. If you don't understand what I'm saying you can also use this method although I don't recommend it because it hurts your cat much more. Use some sticky duct tape to pull it off since when you squeeze the tick it releases poison to your cat. Both methods work on humans and dogs.
hope this was helpful! :)

How do you get rid of ticks on humans?
In many areas of the country the tick is likely to be carrying Lyme disease or other pathogens that can harm humans.
Don't squash the tick.
The spirochete that causes Lyme disease hibernates in the tick's intestine, sometimes for years, waiting for a signal that a new host is available. This signal, an influx of fresh blood, triggers an enormous increase in the spirochete population. After filling the intestine, spirochetes move to the salivary glands and enter the their new host along with anticoagulants and anesthetics produced by the tick. Squashing the tick spreads spirochetes everywhere.
Don't try to burn the tick or smother it with Vaseline etc..
Once that tick is firmly fastened in place, it takes time for the tick to detach itself and depart. No matter how badly the tick may wish to leave quickly, it simply can't. A burning cigarette may kill the tick but won't make it fall off. Ticks can live without air for a long time, so attempts to smother it allow disease transmission to continue for several hours. Anything that upsets or harms the tick without removing it can theoretically cause the tick to regurgitate its stomach contents back into the host, increasing the likelihood of disease transmission.
Don't twist the tick out.
Ticks aren't threaded. Your best chance of removing the head is pulling straight out with steady traction. Twisting invariably leaves the head behind. Because people who twist ticks don't feel the head break off they think it has been removed.
You see bites on your dogs belly it looks like a flea bite what do you do?
Go to the store and get some dog flea shampoo and the kind of flea spray that stays in their fur for a few months. Then flea bath your dog. When his fur is dry, lightly spray the flea spray on his back from his neck to his tail. Give him a light spray on his belly too. The bathing will kill the fleas on him, and the residual action flea spray will help keep the fleas off him. You need to do both. You also need to spray your house. You can get residual spray for carpets too. You don't have to do every square inch of the house, though. Fleas like dark and dusty places, so spray along the baseboards, and under the cushions of chairs and couches. also a few lines down the center of any carpets. And change the bag in the vacuum, they love it in there. If you follow these directions you should have no more fleas. Be sure to re-spray your house every three months or so ( read the label on the house spray) to keep them from coming back.
Can cats be given dog worm medicine?
I don't know the specifics about heartworm medicine, but I read that heartworm is a parasite. If you look up Diatomaceous Earth, you will discover that it is used to kill parasites. I use it...I give it to my animals...and it is safer and more affordable than going to the doctor or a vet and getting a prescription.
Why are predators viewed as bad by people?
Not all people consider predators to be bad, but it is obvious why they would think they might be. Predators can harm other animals, humans, plants, whatever. They can cause destruction to all ecosystems, including human ones. Not all humans consider predators to be bad. Think about it, humans actually are predators. We eat all kinds of plants and animals. We cut down forests ans clear land for our own uses.
Really, everyone and everything is a predator to something else.
