There is not a maximum distance the restroom is required to be from a work area. You have to be able to go to the restroom in a reasonable time on your break.

A nuclear reactor works by using the energy that is released when the nucleus of a heavy atom splits. That process is called fission.

In reactors, fission occurs when uranium atoms are hit by slow-moving neutrons. Absorbing these excess neutrons sometimes causes the atoms to break apart. As the nucleus splits, it releases energy, in the form of heat. In a boiling water reactor, this heat becomes steam, which drives turbines to generate the electricity that is used for everything from charging smartphones to heating homes.

Uranium comes in two principle forms, or isotopes: uranium 235 and uranium 238. Uranium 238 is the most common uranium isotope, and more stable. When it absorbs a neutron, it usually doesn't break apart. Uranium 235 is more likely to undergo fission when hit by a slow-enough moving neutron. When hit, the nucleus absorbs the neutron, becomes unstable and decays, splits into two lighter atoms and throws out two or three new neutrons.

1. The materials were made in various places across the US, the main two are Oak Ridge, TN and Hanford, WA.
2. The parts were mostly handmade at Los Alamos, NM and crated in kits for shipment.
3. Final assembly was on the island of Tinian in the pacific.

The lenses combine a low velocity explosive and a high velocity explosive. The Low VoD was Baratol (aka Barytol) consisting of TNT and Barium Nitrate. The High VOD was Composition B, a mix of RDX and TNT.

Depends on the type. On a fragmentation grenade, the bodies will typically be made out of steel, whereas aluminum is more common on non-fragmentation types (incendiary, smoke, etc).

Only under the most bizarre circumstances would you successfully destroy a tank with frag grenades. Frags throw off tiny bits of metal, known as shrapnel, and tanks are more than sufficiently armoured to withstand it. When tanks had been defeated by soldiers with frag grenades, it's because the soldiers were able to climb onto the vehicle, force open the hatches, and drop the frags inside the vehicle, killing the crew. Unless some freak accident caused the ammo carried inside the tank to go off through sympathetic detonation, however, the tank itself remained fully serviceable.

The reason that some people make the argument that Israel should have to give up weapons is to create a chemical and nuclear weapons free Middle East. This has the slightly sinister motive of making Israel appear more vulnerable. The premise of Israel having to level with Syria is flawed since while Israel does have nuclear weapons, it has never threatened to use them nor has it actually used them. Conversely, Syria has both threatened to use and has used chemical weapons both in war and against civilian populations. Those who misuse such weapons should be punished whereas those who do not need not be bothered.

OK I posted the question Can you kill bees in camper with roach bombs. Well this evening I looked into camper through windows they were all on ceiling and windows. Opened door and placed 2 bombs in camper. After about 30 minutes went back and looked into window. They which I could see were all on floor and all in windows on bottom of window seal dead or dying. Will set off another tonight for good measure. But so far I would say yes you can kill bees with roach bombs.

Any explosion is an example of mechanical engery even though it is initiated by a chemical or nuclearreaction. The explanding gases generated by the initial reaction exerts a force that destroys buildings and such.

Amatol is a conventional chemical explosive. It is a mixture of TNT and ammonium nitrate.

Explosive AND chemical fillers at the same time? You mean, like a frag grenade that also produces smoke? No one would build a grenade like that because if you want to make a grenade that kills you want as much explosive in it as possible and if you're fielding a smoke grenade you probably want to be able to use it close to your own men--white smoke is for concealment, so you pop that as close to you as possible to hide your movement--but if you really wanted to build, say, a grenade for marking an enemy position that would also kill someone when it went off, there's no real reason you couldn't. You can put multiple chemical fillers in a grenade, though. When I was in the 101st Airborne I knew the guy who ran the Opposing Forces bunker. He was the division's resident enemy. He loved to do things like sneak into the other side's ammo supply during field exercises, steal white smoke grenades, take the cap off the bottom, dump out half the smoke powder and refill the grenade with tear gas powder. This way, when the poor saps who had the grenades used them, everyone in the unit would get gassed. This man got into at least three fistfights every field exercise, and he won most of them.

The bomb capable of causing the most damage would be a large fusion type nuclear weapon, commonly called the H Bomb or Hydrogen Bomb. However, if it is close enough to you, even a very small regular bomb was be as deadly as could be to that person.

It is simply the name for a piece of molten rock (larger than 2.5 inches) thrown out of a volcano during an eruption. Despite the name, they generally do not explode (ignore movie special effects) but can be a hazard- large bits of VERY hot rock falling out of the sky.

If I remember right that was Coventry. The Germans were not testing anything however. They had no idea that their code had been broken. If the British had taken any extraordinary measures to protect Coventry though, that could have given it away. Therefore the British did not evacuate the town nor give it any additional air defence. The atomic bomb was a pure fission device, utilsing compression of a sub-critical uranium (Little Boy) (or plutonium: the Fat Man nuclear weapon) to cause an explosion.

The H-bomb is a 'hybrid' device utilising a 'primary' charge that is effectivly an atomic bomb but a 'secondary' charge is also used, a container of hydrogen (deuterium and/or tritium) which undergoes fusion due to the heat/pressure/neutrons released by the primary.
