The uniforms are different as determined by the national organization.

The way the troops themselves are organized is different.

What are the answers for automotive merit badge?

To earn a merit badge the scout must first meet the requirements enumerated in the merit badge booklet. He must meet them to the satisfaction of a designated merit badge councilor. Most if not all answers are in the text of the booklets. In the case of the Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge one must demonstrate how to perform various maintenance tasks and explain why certain laws exist and how various parts of a vehicle function. Most of us think of "automotive" in association with cars or trucks, but the word indicates "self propelled" so the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) considers powered airplanes, trains and boats "automotive." Don't take my word for it, verify it.

As explained somewhere else the word ( Scout) is indirectly evolved from the obsolete spelling of Escoutez- to Listen ( the modern French equivalent is Ecouter, the S dropped over time- this would have been pronounced- Ess-Koot-=Ayy) which does sound vaguely like the word (Scout). The Fleur De Lis is associated with French royalty, so it would be an appropriate symbol. also it is used on some (mainly Naval) Compass indicator markers- and boxing the compass is a scoutly skill! Uncofrimed reports a variant comet- and Fleur de Lis used by the Explorer"s Club.
