the dash and radio lights are supposed to dim when the headlights come on. Make sure you have the brightness of the dash lights turned up as much as possible.

?need to replace the cable to a 1979 buick regal, the emergency release mechanism wire broke. Don't know how to release the brake?

The cup holder may snap out depending on which one it is. If the cup holder is a flip out style from the center arm rest then in has small ears that hold it in.

I had a '87 3.8... the 3.8 V6 is much the same for many years, I think this is what you mean?

Anyway, the sensor is on the accessory end of the engine, located just above the large crankshaft pulley at the bottom of the motor. It is not easy to see.

The sensor is held in with one bolt and has two wires coming out of it.

If I recall, the fastening is adjustable for gap between the sensor and crank reluctor.

Inside the gas tank I think. It is inside the tank, there is an access panel under the trunk carpet just behind the rear seatback. If you have the trunk access panel in the rear seatback, it is easily accessable through it.

your heat comes from your heater core which draws heat from your engine coolant so if you have no heat and the blower is still running then there is a coolant level problem as in none which then would cause the mottor to over heat and quick

The cabin air filter for your 2002 Buick Century is located under the cowl in the firewall between the engine compartment and the passenger side of the front seat. To change the filter:

1. Leave the wipers in up position.

2. Open the hood

3. Remove the weather stripping from passenger side of cowl

4. Unclip the window washer line (two or three places)

5. Remove the three fasteners with an ordinary screwdriver (one is easy, the other two were more difficult)

6. Take out the cowel cover

7. Remove old filter

8. Put in new filter

9. Replace cover, fasteners, washer line, and weather stripping.

Do it about every 20,000 km. I left mine for nearly 130,000 km and it was filthy dirty.

New filter costs about $12

its on the front fuse box... its marked.

I found mine to be on the lower section of the door frame, Next to the gas cap release. It may have been specially ordered, Not sure.

Well... I have a 1997 regal... and all I did was hold the lock and unlock buttons together for 10 seconds, and the car made a bunch of noises and it was programed ...lol that's about all I know... you-tube has a tone of remote programming videos, it helped me out, good luck..also make sure your remote is ment for your make and model of car...

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I believe you have to take off the frontwards engine mounting brackets, take all the bolts out of the plastic cover underneath the radiator, drain the radiator through the radiator drain or lower intake hose, the disconnect the power to the fans, disconnect the atf cooling line and the oil cooling line and any other coolant hoses going to or from the engine or cooling resivoir. take all of the radiator mounting brackets off, and hopefully slide the radiator out. you may have to take out a lot of nuts and bolts, so put them in a safe place organized.

just keep taking things off until the radiator is removable.

3.8 regals are horrible to do radiator replacements on, I've been researching all week how to take out a radiator and no one has made a video about it or anything.

find the neutral safety switch which is commonly located somewhere on the interior of the car near the steering shaft or on the transmission

Under hood on firewall between steering column and inner wheel well, where the wires all collect in center should be a 7/16 head bolt remove it the 2 connector sections will unplug. Then go inside car and should be 2 5/16 ( size may be wrong) holding the fuse box to the firewall, remove those and the box should move away from fire wall.

Two special tools are needed: steering wheel puller and lock plate depresser. Both available at auto parts store for $20 or less.

This is how I got to mine on a 1987 Regal T type. It has a special steering wheel, but this should work for you too.

Pull steering wheel. Remove plastic cover (no tools needed). Depress lock plate with special tool. With 2 screwdrivers, or 1 screwdriver and needle nose pliers, pop the little ring out of the channel towards you. This ring was holding the lock plate down. Loosen the lock plate tool and bring lock plate out. Philips screwdriver to take hazard light switch off.

One Phillips screw holds the turn lever to the switch. Set the small metal arm and screw aside. Three Philips screws hold the turn indicator switch (plastic ring). Carefully tug the switch towards you. There should be just enough slack in the wiring that you don't need to unplug it below the steering column, but it's close.

Leave the switch dangling in front of the steering column. You're almost there! There's another screw that holds the ignition switch in. Remove that screw and the ignition switch. Replace everything.

I might have forgotten one or two things, but that is basically it.

Most repair shops have set prices to repair anything. You should be able to ask them ahead of time to get that price. The belt typically runs about $50. That plus the labor time would give you the answer. At $100 per hour rate and about 1/2 hour to replace it, I would guess the cost would be around $100.

There are 2 fuse boxes. One is under the hood, and the other is in the glove box.

3800 gm (supercharged does not change)

Mains: 30Ft-lbs, then tighten 110 degrees

sides:11 then tighten 45 degrees

Rods:20 thentighten 50 degrees

I got this from my haynes manual, I would highly suggest getting on as these a very important torque specs.......as well as many others required for engine building.
