if it is the kind you use with your foot, like in my old '98, just press on it agian. you should here a click then let your foot off. if this does not work then you have to use your hand. reach up to brake bar and feel around the hinge for it. around there, there may be a second metal thingy. try to move it, and it will relese the brake.

Get a helper to turn on the ignition without starting the engine. At the same time you listen at the fuel filler door with the fuel cap off. You should hear the pump run for a few seconds and then shut down. If you do not hear the pump check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay. If they are good the pump is defective. If the pump runs and you are not getting fuel to the engine either the fuel filter is clogged or the pump is running but not pumping fuel. Replace the fuel filter and proceed from there.

I was able to use the open end of a 3/4 inch box wrench to retract the caliper. Just stick it straight into the groves then I used a wracthet handle in the closed end of the wrench to spin it. Of course the proper tool is a better idea but if you already have the car apart as I did works in a pinch.

Howie:great advise on the caliper it does screw in but when you at turning it you can also if you have on use a pully fork and a pair of channel locks to turn caliper, faster and saves you 25.00 at autozone.

240SX came with 2 different lug patterns. All 1989 to 1994 240sx came with a 4 lug 4x114.3 pattern. While the 1995-1998 240sx SE/LE's came with a 5 lug 5x114.3 pattern. Preferrably you'd want to find a wheel with less than +30 offset for 240SX's.

When you add to it it will come on as soon as the pressure rises to the correct psi to trigger the switch, if you have a guage shoot for about 200 psi on the high side and it should be around 50 on the low. I recently replaced the compressor, drier, and temperature switch on my Isuzu and charged the system with the compressor off until the pressure level rose high enough to trigger the switch. It took quite a while to get the system up to full pressure ( several add attempts with wait time in the middle for system equalization ) every Tech I contacted told me dont do it, it wont work when I'm done but It works great and is the coldest air I have ever felt.

This is a simple fix...I just bought a 2000 Deville and had the same issue...it's your AC Drain Hose...It's clogged up with dirt and grim...all you have to do is locate it under your car...which will be near the passenger dash underneath the car...if you can get to it..just get some pliers and pinch it open...problem solved....

Fuse panel in trunk is accessed by removing 4 long plastic hex nuts located right in front of front edge of trunk lid. After removing these, lower fiberboard panel the nuts held in place and as it comes down the attached portion that slopes down the front interior of the trunk also comes down to reveal a fuse panel on the left side of the front panel which forms the structure supporting the seat back. This fuse block comes from the factory with a clear plastic cover which I could not find a way to release whole, so I cut it to remove it. Here you will find a whole set of fuses for various circuits, including the truck release/pulldown.

it is not really a chip. it is actually a resistor. you can buy one on eBay for about $5.00. look it up. i bought one, increases by 10 hp and shifts later, improving torque. tricks computer into thinking the air temp is about 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

To the best of my knowledge, no Deville has ever been equipped with a V6. The earliest that I know Devilles have been around is the 50's, and they all had V8's. Through the 60's and 70's they had all big-block V8's, the largest of which was 500 cubic inches. At some point, either late 70's or early 80's they switched to small blocks. By the mid 80's they were using a 4.1 liter small block, which was increased to 4.5 liters in 1988, and then 4.9 liters in 1991. Mid 90's they came out with the Northstar V8, which has remained largely unchanged, and is still being used in the Devilles now.

first take off the wood trim piece around the radio there will be 2 hex screws on top that need to be removed. next pull out the ash tray as far as possible and use the same hex screw driver to remove two screws from the bottom side. that should let you pull the radio out far enough to disconect the antenna and the plugs.Thats all.
