How do you change a thermostat on a 1994 Cadillac Sedan DeVille?
If it's the base Sedan Deville with the 4.9 liter engine, not the Northstar, it is located on top of the driver side of the intake manifold. There are two small bolts that hold it in. Remove those, pull the housing off. The thermostat is directly underneath. You can then pull it up and off, you might need to use some force to pop it loose. After that, it's just reverse of the above to install the new one. Just make sure to use a new gasket and make sure that all of the old gasket is off of the thermostat housing and the intake manifold.

I did it on my 95 cadillac deville(non concours type) Get a manual it gives you a good idea on how to do it. It takes a couple of hours. It is located behind the glove box which has to be removed. Access is from there and from below the dash, take care not to do any damage to the temp control linkage behind the glove box there is a rod that is held on by small plastic arms that can easily break. It is a little difficult to orient the core to come out around the frame of the dash but it does come out. Take care not to damage the new cores cooling fins as you install the new core. Good luck.

How do you find the low side service port on a Cadillac De Ville?
On my '76 it's easy; the low side port is the one by the evaporator, NOT the one in line. If you have a different year, here's how to find it on any car. AC works by compressing a gas, which makes it hot. Then this compressed gas gets cooled at the radiator, down to about outside air temperature. This cool and compressed gas then goes to the coil inside the car where the pressure is released and the gas gets cold. Then the gas gets sucked back from inside the car to the compressor and so on. So the low pressure line is always the line going from inside the car to the compressor, the high pressure line is the line going from the radiator to the inside of the car.
sounds like power feed to blower motor is non existant, and or blower motor is finished. The cycling of the compressor only means cold is being made, but not being blown into the car interior.
