The gas cap is under the rear license plate. If you have automatic door locks, make sure your doors are unlocked, or you will have in the trunk what looks like a door lock that slides, slide it to unlock your license plate. Then put the gas cap on the right side of the plate to hold it open and pump your gas. At least that is how it works on my 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Coupe, that has power everything. I agree with this. Cadillacs that start leaking like this are 99% of the time leaking from the rear main seal. You have to pull the engine or transmission to fix this. It isn't worth it unless you really, really love this car. It will cost you a bundle.

Generally, most computer controlled TBI engines CAN't be adjusted for idle speed. If idle is too fast, check for vacuum leaks. A broken vacuum line, loose EGR valve or a damaged manifold or throttle body gasket are typical candidates.

No, different bolt pattern. Some Ford and Dodge vehicles have the same bolt pattern. Must be similar vehicle type: Pick Up or car I found the bolt pattern and pilot hole similar. The difference was in the depth of the rim. The Chevy rim fouled outside edge of the Dodge brake caliper. Note: I only tested the front tires and do not know how it would work on the rear.

Facing the rear license plate of the car, place your hand in the upper portion in front of the license plate and you'll feel the rubber light socket which you would turn clockwise to remove. If the socket is too tight to turn and remove, then with a Phillips head screw driver remove the two screws that hold the plastic lens and socket which should drop down and make it easier to manipulate. The rubber socket has a remove direction arrow imprinted on it. Reverse procedure to re-install.

How hard is it to remove and is there a digram procedure available on-line to remove it.

The bolt pattern is ; 5x135

Start by removing the front wheels. Once the wheels are off you will see the rotors and caliper on the front of the strut. Take a socket and rachet and remove the two bolts one on the top and one at the bottom of the caliper. I believe they are 9MM hex bit. Pull the caliper off and the brakes will come with it. Remove the old pads and use a C clamp or C vise grip to push back the brake cylinder. Install the new pads making sure they are on correctly.(The easiest way to know this is to just remember how the old ones came off.) Reinstall the caliper on the rotor.(If it doesnt go on the brake cylinder is not back far enough.) reinstall the two bolts, double checking to be sure they are tight. Reinstall the front wheel and torque the lug nuts.

go to local auto parts store and get a Qwest Subzero r134a kit and Eldorado should be 2.0 lbs and you must remove the black cover off of the port near the coolant recovery tank and then check pressure with a pressure guage and make sure it's low first if so...Turn car on with A/C hi and use valve bleeding apparatus to release freon from can into port until pressure guage shows green or ok...shaking can while doing so...cappire!

Assuming it's a Northstar, it is inserted into the valve cover nearest the firewall on the passenger's side near the coil pack.

It is NOT on the upper radiator hose, it is where the lower hose connects next to the air filter housing. You do not need to disconnect the hose, there are two 10mm bolts that come off and the thermostat is inside this housing.

On my 96 Eldo ETC, there are two fuse boxes. One is deep in the trunk behind the driver's side caepeting, just above the level of the trunklid hinge. The other is in the engine compartment on the right side, just behind the windshield washer tank, covered by a shroud - some have flip open doors to get at the fuses. (Beneath that fuse box are also some electircal relays, just as importanst for some operations.)

if its a Bose system then you have to hook up the wiring harness in the trunk of the car and run all the wires all the way to the front..its about 9-10 wires...there is an Amp in the trunk of the car on the right side right next to the antenna motor...
