The back of the Pontiac engine block has a different bell-housing bolt pattern than the Chevrolet. Pontiac and Olds bell-housing bolt pattern match. Chevrolet and Buick match. Unless you have a dual bolt pattern transmission (GM did make them) the Pontiac engine won't bolt up to the the Chevrolet transmission.

By adding all those modifications to your 3800 you can expect a 50HP increase, the cam is very expensive however. Your cheap and easy to do mods are CAI and Downpipe/U-bend delete, those two will net you a 10HP increase.

You can also Supercharge your car or turbocharge it. For $3,000 or so you can add a supercharger and 40HP 60TQ, this will unlock all supercharger modifications, and you go from a 240 HP supercharged 3800 all the way up to 450HP if you spend enough money.

Turbocharged V6's can go from 200HP at stock form to 750HP in drag form. Basic turbo's are hard to come by for the RWD 3800's, but they do exist.

What model car? Iroc, RS? what engine is it? v6, 305tpi, 305tbi, 350? is it carborated? old cars dont always have the stock engines in them too. More info required If its stock there should be a sticker on the plastic atop your radiator when you pop the hood you can see it. If not check out a manual from Autozone.

Firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 Distributor rotates clockwise. Number 1 plug is located on passenger's side front of engine. Number 2 plug is on front of engine driver's side and so on.

The fuel filter is probably in-line in the gas line. Should be immediately in front of the rear axle, near the driver side rear wheel. Look on the underside of the car, just inboard and forward of the rear springs. Be prepared to stop the gas flow from the tank or you'll end up wearing a lot of fuel. I use the finger from a heavy rubber glove with a wire tie to hold it to the fuel line. Remove the rear fuel line from the filter and put the glove finger over the rear line (the one from the gas tank), then secure it with the wire tie. When you get the filter replace, cut the tip of the finger and then quickly connect the fuel line to the end of the filter. This should minimize fuel loss and spillage. mp

Begin by loosening your 1991 Chevy Camaro transmission mount bolt. Jack the transmission up a few inches. Remove the transmission mount bolt and the transmission mount bushing. Put the new transmission mount bushing in and reverse the process.

Well, on some cars it can be a real pain in the butt, however, the process is pretty straight-forward: Order the new cable, get the car up in the air and disconnect every bracket and retainer that keeps the cable in place, unscrew the cable from each end (dash removal may be required on some cars) and compare it to the new one. Sometimes you have to transfer the driven gear from the old cable to the new one. Put the new cable in place, connect all brackets, and hope for the best.

the cable will be inside a housing. the ends of the cable are square so make sure you get it lined up.

i have a 92 same engine and i was getting about 165 170 out of it until i put cold air intake new exhaust and bigger injectors on it now im putting about 190 or 200 on a good day

I believe that on these cars the entire electric fuel pump assembly is a single unit under the back seat with a metal plate that covers it.

you might be able to get under the car somehow and flip the hood release from the inside.
